VP Candidate Sen. JD Vance, "When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, you know what he did? He dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him, a fact that he's been criticized for aggressively by a lot of the people that he served with." 

Vance also highlighted comments from Walz, questioning whether he served in Operation Enduring Freedom.

Chevron Oil company announced that it is moving its headquarters to Houston, Texas from San Ramon, California.  The California Energy Commission (CEC) in a new report proposes the state takeover oil refineries if Chevron decides to close them.

CNN commentator Van Jones suggested antisemitism in the Democratic Party influenced Vice President Kamala Harris’ decision not to choose a Jewish running mate in Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

After the announcement that Harris had chosen Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., Jones wasn't sure if Shapiro, previously seen as a favorite for the role, lost out because some elements in the party don’t like that he’s Jewish.
