It is Friday and that means Jonah Booker on the Bucknuts Morning 5 podcast. JBook joins Dave Biddle to answer your questions from The Front Row message board and more. The show covers Ohio State's 2020 season, Buckeye recruiting, and even Jonah's illustrious football career.
Strap yourself in for another riveting version of the Friday 5ish.
Ohio State has the current No. 1 recruiting class in 2021 for a reason. It's already an excellent array of talent loaded, especially at key positions like quarterback and defensive line. But there are other schools that can apparently still stand in the ring with the Buckeyes and Alabama is one of them. See Latham, J.C. 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong is here to discuss J.C. Latham, Hudson Wolfe, J.T. Tuimoloau, Emeka Egbuka and Tywone Malone. Trust us, the mood improves as the show progresses. Spend 5ish with us today, 'Nutters!
Ohio State's players reported back to campus for voluntary workouts on Monday, and Patrick Murphy joins Dave Biddle on today's show to talk about it. Also on the agenda is a look back at our recent polls on Bucknuts, such as should the College Football Playoff expand to eight teams, what is Ohio State's biggest position hole to fill this season and much more.
That is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
Football is back. At least, Ohio State's players are back in the WHAC and we assume getting after it though the media is kept at more than arm's length currently. But that's OK - we'll take it ... for now. The NCAA’s Football Oversight Committee has prepared a four-phase plan for the season that includes a six-week period of mandatory workouts that include walk-throughs in July and preseason camp beginning in early August.
Boom.
Duane Long is here to discuss that and J.C. Latham trending towards Tuscaloosa before finish his depth chart series with a look at the secondary. Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters!
We are very happy to welcome in Gee Scott Sr. to today's Bucknuts Morning 5. Mr. Scott is of course the father of Ohio State true freshman wide receiver Gee Scott Jr. and he joins Dave Biddle for a wide-ranging, insightful interview that lasts over 30 minutes. Enjoy, Bucknutters!
If you could only have three out of the following four former Ohio State running backs, who would you select between Archie Griffin, J.K. Dobbins, Ezekiel Elliott and Eddie George?
Also, what is the plan for fifth-year senior Demario McCall for the Buckeyes this fall?
That and much more is coming at you on the Friday 5ish as Jonah Booker drops by.
You asked. He answered. 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong takes on your questions from the Front Row. Spend some quality time with us this a.m.
Two positions that are under the microscope for Ohio State this season are defensive backs and running backs. What will the depth chart look like for the Buckeyes at both spots? The People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, joins Dave Biddle on today's show to give a deep dive on that, and answer an interesting question about whether fans will have to sign a waiver removing universities from any liability upon entering football stadiums this fall.
All of that and more is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish.
Ohio State's two-deep at linebacker looks a lot like it did last season. The only name missing is Malik Harrison. Sure, that was a big name on the Ohio State defense. Who fills Harrison's role? Will the other starting spots be filled by the incumbent? Join Duane Long on his depth chart tour with a dive on linebackers. Spend 5ish with us today, 'Nutters.
The Dean of Ohio State Football Recruiting, Bill Kurelic, is here to give you the latest on the top uncommitted recruits that are on Ohio State's radar in the 2021 class. The prospects in question are J.T. Tuimoloau, Emeka Egbuka, JC Latham, Rocco Spindler, Derrick Davis Jr., Tywone Malone, Jager Burton and Hudson Wolfe.
Also, Ohio State's players will begin voluntary workouts exactly a week from day.
Happy June, indeed.
All of that and more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish.
