Dwayne Haskins is going to be Ohio State's starting quarterback, and that means many things to Buckeye fans.
One of them is that Haskins is a QB who is "ballsy" according to Jonah Booker.
JBook drops by for his usual Friday visit to chat with Dave Biddle about that, plus:
* Comments former Alabama quarterback and current ESPN analyst Greg McElroy made about Haskins and J.T. Barrett.
* Charles Woodson's theory on why OSU has dominated Michigan this century. Is he right?
* What are JBook's expectations for the Wolverines' 2018 season?
All of that and more on the Friday extravaganza.
What is the latest on the recruiting front for Ohio State?
Well, who better to ask than the director of recruiting for 247Sports, Steve Wiltfong?
Wiltfong joins Dan Rubin for his usual Thursday visit, and you won't want to miss his insights today.
What is the latest on Darnell Wright, Wandale Robinson and David Bell?
And just how good is OSU commit Cade Stover? (Hint: Really, really good.)
All of that and more on the Thursday extravaganza.
What is your confidence level in Ohio State's offensive line and linebackers on a 1-10 scale entering the 2018 season?
The People's Champ, Matt Baxendell, joins Dave Biddle to discuss that, plus:
* Who is really the Buckeyes' rival in this day and age? Is it still Michigan? Or might it actually be Penn State? (This is piggybacking on a topic from Tuesday's BM5.)
* What is the confidence level in Ohio State's running backs and wide receivers this year?
All of that and more on the midweek spectacular.
Penn State has certainly established itself as the main threat to Ohio State in the Big Ten, both from a recruiting and competitive standpoint.
This was proven further on Monday when the Nittany Lions landed a recruit the Buckeyes really wanted, five-star linebacker Brandon Smith.
Duane Long joins Dan Rubin to discuss that, plus:
* The recruitment of safety Jordan Battle. Is it OSU all the way for him? What type of player is he?
* Faatui Tuitele has Ohio State in his top 5.
All of that and more on the Tuesday extravaganza.
What are Ohio State's chances of landing Zach Harrison?
According to Bill "Bank" Greene, pretty darn good.
Bank joins Dave Biddle to give his take on Harrison, plus:
* Bank's take on some of the other top uncommitted recruits from Ohio in the 2019 class, such as Jowon Briggs, Zeke Correll, Jamir Thomas and Jonathan Allen.
* How does OSU's coaching staff feel about the quality of quarterbacks in the 2019 class nationally?
* What is the latest on 2020 cornerback Henry Gray?
* What are Bank's expectations for Dwayne Haskins as the Buckeyes' starting quarterback?
We have all of that and more on an extended version of the Monday extravaganza.
Is Jonah Booker excited about Dwayne Haskins being Ohio State's starting quarterback? Yes, yes he is.
In fact, JBook says Haskins at the controls will be like "Almost like a new day for Ohio State football."
JBook joins Dave Biddle to discuss that, plus:
* What are thoughts about Tate Martell as the backup quarterback?
* What are opinions about OSU's 2019 recruiting efforts thus far?
* Keita Bates-Diop likely helped his stock at the NBA Combine on Thursday.
All of that and more on the Friday extravaganza.
What do you need to know about some of the key recruiting battles between Ohio State and other Big Ten programs?
The Dean of Ohio State Football Recruiting, Bill Kurelic, joins Dan Rubin to discuss that in great detail.
Some, but not all, of the prospects discussed are:
* Zach Harrison.
* Brandon Smith.
* Cam'Ron Kelly.
* Devontae Dobbs.
Plus, what is the absolute latest on where Joe Burrow might end up? The Dean has the inside scoop on that, too.
All of that and more on a 17-plus-minute edition of the Thursday spectacular.
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer had a very interesting comment when he spoke about Dwayne Haskins at the Pro Football Hall of Fame luncheon in Canton on Monday.
Regarding his third-year sophomore quarterback, Meyer said: "It will change the way we attack defenses."
That is a strong statement from Meyer; the type of statement he has never made before during his time at OSU. Because, other than the 2014 postseason, this will likely be the first year the Buckeyes don't rely so heavily on the zone-read.
Steve Helwagen joins Dave Biddle to discuss that, plus:
* Thoughts on Ohio State's linebackers entering the 2018 season. It is the biggest concern on the team, right?
* Thoughts on the Buckeyes' schedulethis fall. What degree of difficulty does it have?
All of that and more on the midweek extravaganza.
Are you looking for the latest scoops and analysis on Ohio State's wide receiver recruiting efforts?
Well, you came to the right place.
On today's BM5, Duane Long joins host Dan Rubin, and they discuss nothing but OSU WR recruiting.
"Do one thing, and do it extremely well" is certainly the theme of the Tuesday extravaganza.
The class is off to a great start with five-star WR Garrett Wilson. Who will join him in the Buckeyes' 2019 haul?
Duane and Dan discuss all of that in great detail.
Is former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow leaning toward selecting Cincinnati over LSU following his visit to Baton Rouge over the weekend?
And if he does pick the Bearcats over the Tigers, how big of a surprise would that be? Or would it not be a surprise at all?
Patrick Murphy joins Dave Biddle to discuss that, plus:
* What are reasonable expectations for Dwayne Haskins as the Buckeyes' starting quarterback this season? Should fans "temper their expectations"? Murphy believes so.
* With spring ball a full month in the rear view mirror, what are position battles that intrigues us? How will the reps be split at running back? What is up with OSU's linebackers?
All of that and more on the Monday extravaganza.
