Build a Big Podcast - Marketing for Podcasters (A Podcast on Podcasting)

I fell off the wagon. There's no excuse for leaving you hanging, but I've been so caught up with Build A Big Podcast and reworking the manuscript for my upcoming book, I let a few things slide, one of which was RED Podcast. But I'm back. Just finished editing a three-part series with Jeff Sanders that follows him from getting a book publishing deal, to writing the book, to releasing the book. The book is The Free-Time Formula and it's available now, but this series was recorded over the last year, when Jeff was going through the process, so you'll get the real information about what was happening and what he was feeling, not revisionism, which is usually what you get afterward since we soon forget the challenging parts. I'm also in the process of figuring out my own book publishing process, which I'll be talking about here over a few episodes. I just finished what I think is the final version of the initial draft (I've had five of them) and am working on editing everything to get this book out within the next couple of months or so. Like my series with Jeff, you'll hear about this as it's happening in real time, so you'll get authentic information about what the process is really like. And it's going to be much bigger than just "book publishing" discussion... This is a new market for me and it's a bit scary to make the jump, so there's going to be a lot of talk about the mindset of releasing something to the public, resistance, and more. RED Podcast returns this week with an all new episode on persuasion and influence. Also coming soon... The "propaganda" film that changed marketing and with a backstory that change the way you think about marketing. I've started a new podcast just for podcasters. It's called Big Podcast Daily and, as the name suggests, a new episode is released every day. Big Podcast Daily was originally a temporary project that I started to participate in National Podcast Post Month, an event similar to National Novel Writing Month, where the goal is daily action, either podcasting or writing. The specific goal for participants in National Podcast Post Month is to release 30 podcast episodes in 30 days. I started 15 days late, so I doubled up, doing 30 episodes in 15 days, in order to complete the challenge.
