Lauryn Hill coined the following phrase, "It could all be so simple" in one of her most popular songs, "Ex-Factor" and who would've known that this song from 1998 could still be applicable for relationships in 2019.

Contrary to popular belief, relationships do not need to be complicated. One does not need to frequently encounter pain, disrespect, and inconsistency and assume that it is normal. I find myself frequently referencing that phrase from Lauryn Hill as I challenge myself to think with my intellect over my (sometimes) foolish heart.

Yes, this episode is titled "Weekend Niggas." You know what that is. Men who are only available for a limited time, particularly the weekend. Every now and then I run into yet another "weekend nigga" and he says all of the right things and does all of the right things, but he ups and returns to where he came from and I'm left with yet another passing memory of a moment that can never be relived.

When anxiety hits, it hits hard. Reciting affirmations in the midst of an anxiety attack is not always an effective strategy (for me). I share my bouts with anxiety and how having an emotional support system is essential for my survival .

I’ve been noticing on Instagram there’s a section of white “curvy” women who are “embracing their curves” and essentially creating a career that celebrates their naturally curvy body. I find this to be ironic because for so long now, black women who are curvy have been demonized and sexualized for their body; yet, white women who emulate the curves of a black woman are profiting big time. What in the entire fuck?
