  • The KEY to unlocking more HAPPINESS

    Send us Fan Mail

I don't think the answer will be what you think it is.. but I can't wait for you to listen to find out ;)

In todays episode we talk about how we rely on external people, places and things for happiness when in reality happiness comes from INSIDE. I challenge you to focus less on the people, places, things, accolades and instead get really good at

    - SHOWING UP for the things you said you were going to do
-FILTERING out the things in your life that don't serve you
-LEARN to be honest with yourself
    - SURROUND yourself with good people
    -BE OKAY with being alone

I truly think the biggest catalyst for change in your life will be learning to be learn yourself through being alone. In a world full of pings and dings-- you never really get quiet enough to learn about what it means to be you.

  • [TIP] PLAY THIS to learn the type of REST you are missing

    Send us Fan Mail

What do you first think of when I say "what does rest meant to you?"
Are you somebody who always feels like no amount of sleep is ever enough?
Your response to somebody who says "how are you?" is "I'm just so tired"

It's probably because you didn't know there are actually SEVEN types of rest ( I know my mind was blown too). Rest is about SO MUCH  MORE than just physical rest and sleep. Todays podcast episode is to help you feel empowered to allow yourself to rest more where you need it in order to honor and respect your own boundaries and have less days where you lay your head on the pillow saying "holy cow I am exhausted and I have nothing left to give after today". Learning how to incorporate more REST in to my life has allowed me to be happier & more productive and I know it will do the same for you!

If you want more on the book I shared about in todays episode: https://ichoosemybestlife.com/sacred-rest/

APPLIED action is where it is at, let me know which area of rest you are focusing on this week by tagging me on IG @michaela_robertson_

    Send us Fan Mail

This episode is all about helping you identify what you need to take with you in to the new season and what is your responsibility to leave behind.

I'm a firm believer that you are not meant to operate at the same level, with the same goals, all of the time-- and that is OKAY.

Some seasons you will need to slow down and rest.
Some seasons you will be ready to go full throttle.

It's not only about the leaves changing, cooler temps and less hours of daylight but instead REFLECTING where you are at. I shared 3 simple journal prompts to help start this process as well as a few other tid-bits to get the wheels turning on what else you can do this season to best SUPPORT YOU like revamping your routines, committing to time outside and tidying up your space!

Let me know over on the gram what you are doing in this transition season so I can hold you accountable @michaela_robertson_

Once I do __ then I will be qualified

Ever chose the version of you who was playing small even when you felt yourself dreaming bigger?

Ever did something outside of your comfort zone or for the first time and found yourself saying "this is hard?"

After racing 26.2 miles aka marathon #6 this weekend I was reminded of how much power we have to inspire the people around us to do the things they didn't think they were capable of. & my mission for you today, is to help you light that fire and take action in your own life.

  • [NURSE] My NEW GRAD NURSE LIFE burnout story + how I transitioned

    Send us Fan Mail

Anybody else in their first few years of nursing saying"WTF is this really what I signed up for?" or maybe you are a seasoned nurse with similar feelings, todays episode was inspired by an IG live I did and the request people made to share it here on the podcast so HERE WE ARE.

Your personal and professional lives are meant to live in sync. It was the feeling of sheer dread, exhaustion, lack of fulfillment, tears rolling down my cheeks and zip recruiter being my top used app that were my red flags.

I went in to new grad life saying 'oh I refuse to be the nurse who goes through burnout' now here I am connecting the pieces only to realize I was the nurse who was stuck in the cycle of burnout.

Today we talk about the cycle of burnout: burnout, break down, bounce back and how it pertains to my experience but also how it might be unfolding in YOUR career.

I thought that what I was feeling was 'normal' for a nurse in the middle of a pandemic. I share with you 7 things I did to career transition that I hope will also inspire YOU to take radical responsibility for your career.

  • Skip the bandaids + face reality

    Send us Fan Mail

Todays episode is something I am sharing that I learned through the program I just completed, 75 hard.

Because I learned on a deeper level, a lot about myself & I wanted to share with you my take on using bandaids to "solve problems" in your own personal life instead of facing the reality of what is, dealing with the hard uncomfortable emotions & how you might be running, numbing, hiding or shoving down whats going on a deeper level.

& I find just like a kid with a scrape on a knee, the bandaid makes us feel better for a short moment, but just like waterproof bandaids eventually fall off & the scrape is still there-- the same thing happens in your own life.

    The problems don't go away
    The emotions don't fade
    The goals don't get achieved

In fact.. they just get heavier, louder & harder. Todays episode we talk about fear, identity & space. 3 essentials to removing bandaids from your own life and spending to get to know yourself.

ALSO- CHEERS TO THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY AND 50 PODCAST EPISODES!! Where has time gone? Thanks for being here, I appreciate you, always!
