One of the core characteristics of a strong leader is they are an excellent problem solver. As clinicians, you are also trained to solve problems for the patients/clients you serve.
But what we’ve come to learn is not all problems are solvable, and problem-solving skills don’t work on all the challenges that leaders face.
So, then what do you do? Today, we are going to tell you what you do. We are going to talk about an essential competency every leader must have to overcome unsolvable problems and achieve sustainable outcomes.

Do you have a vision for your life personally and professionally? In the work we do with leaders we often find they don’t have a clear vision for their life.
Without a clear vision it’s difficult to feel personally aligned, to make mindful choices, or to know what actions to take.
As Yogi Berra says, “You got to be careful, if you don’t know where you are going, ‘cause you might not get there”. You end up feeling frustrated, full of regret, and wondering “how did I get here?”
In today’s episode, we are sharing with you how to create a clear vision for your personal and professional life, so you can be a TRU (Thriving, Resilient, Unstoppable) leader.

In this episode, we focus on leveraging Polarity Intelligence™, which is Pillar #2 of our Dynamic Balance EffectTM (DBE) Framework.
Polarity Intelligence applies the “missinglogic” to leverage the unavoidable tensions and challenges impacting your daily life.
The thing is, most leaders feel these tensions are problems to solve because it’s the only lens they’ve ever known. If you treat them as problems and you don’t realize that you’re experiencing unmanaged polarities, you will realize your greatest fears and end up failing.
In this podcast, we talk about the numerous tensions that act on you and how to identify and leverage them to establish a balanced life.
We also talk about four crux personal polarities and their early warning signs, and negative outcomes if you over-focus on one over the other.

How many times do you say, “I’m fine, I’m just really busy” when people ask you how you are?
Being busy becomes a status symbol as a leader. In fact, the more you can do, the more you’re asked to do, and the more you feel you’re bringing value to your team and your organization.
In this podcast episode, we talk about why being busy is a badge of burnout, not honor. We also discuss the importance of setting boundaries for leaders and some warning signs of wearing a badge of burnout.

You've probably heard that work-life balance doesn't exist.
Or maybe you've tried to balance your personal and professional life, especially during these challenging times, but you feel like it's impossible to achieve.
As leaders, we're taught to look at challenges and issues as problems to solve and we think that problem-solving is the logic we apply to all challenges we face.
Are we right?
The thing is, not every problem is solvable, and if you can't recognize that the challenge isn't a problem to solve, then you're going to fail over time.
In this episode, we reveal that Work-Life Balance is possible and why you can achieve it as a leader.
We also discuss why some problems are not solvable, what a polarity is, how they work, and how you can take a different approach to manage them.

One of the common questions we frequently get asked when speaking to other leaders is whether we will be doing work outside of healthcare.
And guess what? We're absolutely thrilled to announce that we’re expanding our reach beyond healthcare leaders.
With over 20 years of experience working with healthcare leaders and different organizations, we always knew that what we have been doing was applicable to all leaders.
Therefore, we believe it's time to expand our reach and work with all leaders in all industries.
In this podcast episode, we share some incredibly exciting changes that are taking place at MissingLogic and some up-leveling to the podcast that you're not going to want to miss!
We also talk about why we started our podcast with healthcare leaders and why we are running some stellar encore episodes for the next several weeks on our podcast.
