  • Episode 197: You Can’t Febreze Trauma: The Witch’s Guide to House Energy

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo Bitches!

    Your house isn’t just a place you live… it’s a relationship you’re in.

In Episode 197 of C3: Crystals, Cauldrons, & Cocktails, we’re talking house spirits—not as a trendy TikTok aesthetic, but as a real, ancient concept found across cultures: domestic guardians, hearth energy, ancestral echoes, and the “why does this corner feel judgmental?” phenomenon.

    We’ll cover:

    • where house spirits come from (ancestor veneration, animism, sacred hearths)
    • why some homes feel “off” (and why sage can’t fix unprocessed history)
    • how to bond with your home without getting weird about it
    • how to tell the difference between fae, domestic spirits, and plain old emotional residue

Plus: the Hearthkeeper cocktail—warm, grounding, and protective—because your house deserves a sip too

  • Episode 196: The Witchy Friend Handbook (Unpaid, Unlicensed, Unrested)

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo Bitches!

No one ever asks accountants for free audits—but witches? Apparently, we’re community property.

In this episode of C3: Crystals, Cauldrons, & Cocktails, River breaks down the sacred (and exhausting) role of being the witchy friend. From crisis texts and “just curious” skeptics to manifesting menaces and free-labor enthusiasts, we’re talking about what support actually looks like—and when it’s time to put the wand down.

This episode covers ethical spellwork for friends, emotional labor, burnout, boundaries, and why listening is often more powerful than lighting a candle.

Spoiler: not everything needs a spell. Some things need a snack and a nap.

  • Mini Episode 11: One Candle, No Pants: Survival Spells for Tired Witches

    Let's Chat!!

Welcome back to this week's mini Cauldrons of Chaos episode — the podcast where the candles are lit, the vibes are questionable, and sometimes the most powerful spell you can cast is not lying down on the floor.

This mini episode is for witches who want results but do not have the energy for:

    • Full rituals
    • Circle casting
    • Remembering planetary correspondences
    • Or putting on pants

We’re talking Candles in a Crisis — emergency witchcraft for when you’re exhausted, overstimulated, and one minor inconvenience away from communing with the carpet spirits.

From random candles and half-burned altar stubs to the emotionally supportive tea light of desperation, this episode walks you through a low-effort flame ritual that still counts as real magick.

    No perfection.
     No guilt.
Just intention, fire, and the radical idea that showing up halfway is still showing up.

    Survival spells are valid spells.
     Rest is sacred.
And a single candle lit with intention is not a shortcut — it’s efficiency.

    Stay lit. 🔥

  • Episode 195: The Broom Closet Witch: Secrecy, Safety & Strategic Silence

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo, Bitches! 🧹✨

This week on C3: Crystals, Cauldrons & Cocktails, we’re talking about something a lot of witches experience—but almost nobody talks about honestly: life in the broom closet.

    If you practice quietly…
     hide your altar…
     code-switch your language…
or have ever said “I just like candles,”

Congratulations—you’re not alone. You’re historically accurate.

In this episode, River Kane dives into:

    • What the broom closet actually is (and why it exists)
    • Why so many witches still choose secrecy—especially right now
    • The pressure to “come out” in modern witch spaces
    • When it might be safe to step out… and when it absolutely isn’t
    • How to come out without detonating your life
    • What to do if coming out goes badly (yes, you can put the genie back)
    • Why staying quiet can be a powerful, strategic, and deeply witchy choice

    This isn’t a pressure episode.
     It’s a permission episode.

Whether you’re deep in the broom closet, cracking the door, or dancing wildly outside with a besom and zero fear—your magic counts, your pace is correct, and your safety matters.

    Quiet witches are still witches.
And some of the strongest magic in the world is done quietly.

  • Episode 194: Toad Doctors, Frog Magick & Amphibian Witchcraft Shenanigans

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo, Bitches! 🐸

This week on C3: Crystals, Cauldrons & Cocktails, we’re hopping headfirst into the slippery, squishy, surprisingly powerful world of amphibian witchcraft.

    We’re talking:

    • Toad Doctors and old-school folk healing (yes, it was weird)
    • Frog familiars and emotional support gremlins
    • Illness-transfer spells, frog bones, and swamp folklore
    • Why frogs and toads are masters of transformation, liminality, and survival
    • The Loveland Frog (cryptid? spirit? Ohio doing Ohio things?)

From ancient folk magic to modern emotional alchemy, this episode explores why frogs and toads have always terrified authority, fascinated witches, and shown up exactly when we’re going through something.

Grab a Swamp Sangria, get comfortable with the weird, and join River Kane for a deep dive into transformation magic, quiet resilience, and the sacred art of surviving your own becoming.

    No frogs harmed.
     No jars involved.
Just vibes, folklore, and a whole lot of swamp wisdom.

  • Mini Episode 10: Grounding, But You’re Mad About It

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo, bitches.

This week's mini cauldrons of chaos episode is about grounding — but not the soft, whispery, “just breathe” kind that makes some of us want to hiss.

This is grounding for when you’re:

    • Overstimulated
    • Deeply annoyed
    • Spiritually aligned but emotionally feral

You’re not ungrounded. You’re irritated. And that’s different.

In this episode, we’re talking grounding techniques that:

    • Let you stay mad
    • Don’t require serenity or enlightenment
    • Work with your irritation instead of pretending it doesn’t exist

From aggressive tea drinking, to touching dirt with attitude, to naming exactly what pissed you off today, this episode is proof that you don’t have to be calm to be grounded — you just have to be present in your body, even if that body is glaring at the universe.

    This isn’t failed spirituality.
     It’s real-life witchcraft.

    Light a candle.
     Sip something warm with intent.
And be proud of yourself for not hexing anyone.

    Progress.

  • Episode 193: Ritual Endings - Closing the Book, Not the Lesson

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo, bitches.

We love beginnings. New moons. New journals. New versions of ourselves we swear will be more organized.

But endings? Endings make witches uncomfortable—and that’s exactly why we need them.

In this episode of C3: Crystals, Cauldrons & Cocktails, we’re talking about rituals of ending: why unfinished endings linger, how witches across history marked closure, and why simply walking away doesn’t actually stop energy from following you. From leaving labels behind and outgrowing spiritual paths, to relationships that ended emotionally long before they ended physically, we’re digging into what it really means to be done.

We’ll explore cultural rites of closure, practical sealing magic, and how to close energetic tabs without burning your life down. Because endings aren’t failures—they’re spells. And when witches end things properly, they don’t haunt themselves later.

Pour a Final Cut, light a candle, and let’s talk about how to say:
This happened. It mattered. And it is no longer active.

  • Episode 192: A Witch, Some Muggles, and a Microphone

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo, Bitches!

This episode was recorded on vacation, which means all rules were suspended.

I was surrounded by friends who are—tragically—muggles, and instead of relaxing like a normal person, I did the only reasonable thing: handed them a microphone and started asking questions about witchcraft, magick, superstition, and all the things they definitely don’t believe in… except when they do.

What followed was a hilarious, honest, and occasionally unhinged conversation full of accidental witch behavior, strong opinions about crystals and tarot, and several moments where people realized they might already be doing low-key magick without realizing it.

    No one was cursed.
    Several people were exposed.
Science was not consulted - although there were scientists involved!

Grab a drink (or pedialite if necessary) and enjoy A Witch, Some Muggles, and a Microphone—a vacation experiment that absolutely delivered.

  • Mini Episode 9: Cleanse This Chaos - A Witch’s Guide to Cleaning Without Crying

    Let's Chat!!

    Boo, Bitches!

Today on our mini cauldron of chaos episode, we’re attempting the most dangerous ritual of all: cleaning the house.

That’s right—banishing dust, hexing mold, negotiating with sentient laundry piles, and confronting the Underworld portal under the couch. This mini episode turns everyday cleaning into full-blown domestic witchcraft, complete with sweeping spells, glamour magick countertops, judgmental house spirits, and a vacuum that may or may not be choking on your life choices.

From incense-fueled pre-clean rituals to bathroom banishing (abandon hope), ancestor-approved dusting, and sealing your work like the High Priestess (or Priest!) of Lemon Sorcery that you are—this episode proves that cleaning isn’t just a chore. It’s purification. It’s protection. It’s chaos management with a broom.

Light a candle, crack a window, tell your house spirits to hush, and join us for witchy wisdom, unhinged truths, and the reminder that if a spirit wants to judge your mess… they can grab a mop.

Happy cleansing, witches—and happy New Year.
