Daniel Halseth had been going through a rough couple of years, but in 2021, things seemed to be getting better. His kids had returned to Nevada, where he lived, from Alaska, where they had moved to with their mother. He had a great relationship with his youngest child, 16-year-old Sierra, but things started to get strained between them when she met and started to date 18-year-old Aaron Guerrero. In April 2021, when Daniel's mom couldn't get a hold of him, she knew something was wrong, and she was unfortunately right. Daniel's body was found inside his home deceased. From 1993 to 1995, deaths at Vermillion County Hospital rose significantly and it was all that everyone that worked at the hospital could talk about.  It was until the Supervisor of Nursing, Dawn Stirek, took it upon herself to start looking into patient and unit log records to see if she could figure out what was happening. When the Van Breda family went to bed on January 26, 2015, they had no idea that it would be the last time. On September 15, 2010, Greg Fleniken was in his hotel room, watching a movie like he usually did when he stayed at the Elegante Hotel. Nothing was out of the ordinary, but sadly Greg would die that night.
