Our culture here in the United States is always telling us to move, to keep doing, to keep producing. Sometimes it isn't even society and culture. Sometimes it is our own fears and worries. Today I talk about understanding the urge to push forward. More importantly, I talk about disregarding that motivation sometimes in order to recapture a sense of calm.

Whether we like to acknowledge it or not, we all hear voices in our heads. The important thing to point out is that some of these voices are fear, worry and ego. However, along side those, are the voices of our guides and our higher selves. Today I talk about how to avail yourself to the wisdom of your higher self, while keeping the unserving voices of your inner dialog at bay. Come listen.

Control is a funny thing. The funnier thing is the thought that we have any control. Many of us spend our days trying to make sure that nothing out of the ordinary happens. We hold the reigns tight, thinking that we alone can keep things from turning out poorly. But I would offer that control is an illusion, and if we let it go, we can experience a deeper life, a calmer life.

The world is big. And with that size comes many distractions and sources of worry and uneasiness. So if the size of the world creates unrest how about you just shrink it down. Not the world, obviously, but your perception and scope. If you're not sure how, let's talk about it.

By placing values on things we lose the ability to see things objectively. In that objectivity lies our peace of mind. So how about we simply see things as they are, without judgment? Let's talk about it.
When we think of miracles we tend to think of grand events; incomprehensible happenings. But things happen every day that are equally incomprehensible and equally amazing. When we turn our attention to those things, and actually look for them, we live a fuller, more enjoyable life.
Regardless of who we are, we all want to feel as if we are moving toward something. And maybe it isn't specifically toward something, but just that we are not standing still; in a rut. When we do feel stagnant that can lead to uneasiness. Today I talk about a way to avoid that and increase your level of calm

When life throws us curve balls and things don't seem to be working out for us, we have a tendency to look outside ourselves to see examples of people who seemingly have it made. Who are problem-free. As I talk about today, we don't need to look anywhere to see things going right. When we take a true inventory of ourselves, we see that life truly is remarkable...Even in the tough times.
We like to think that we make all the decisions that definie our lives. As it turns out, there are many, many decisions that are made for us, namely by society. Today I talk about how asking yourself who truly defines your life leads to a more serene existence.
We all know that gratitude is an energy that heralds abundance. But it also gives us an indication of our mindset as well. Today I talk about how expressing thanks to the Universe lets us know what our default feeling is about how we see the world. Oh, and it helps us become calmer too.
