For all of the good that the defense did for Arizona State Sun Devils football in 2023, the one area they struggled was with forcing turnovers. The Sun Devils recorded just five interceptions and recovered four of five forced fumbles. To take the next step forward under defensive coordinator Brian Ward, the Sun Devils defense will need an uptick in that department. The defense would also like to see players begin growing into better and better players whether it's their youngsters or the savvy veterans they brought in.
