No one wants cancer to be the thing that shakes them out of an unhappy existence. And yet, sometimes terrible circumstances give us the wake-up call that we need. Today I'm talking with Dr Isabelle Amigues, a Rheumatologist based in Denver, Colorado who found herself diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer at the age of 40. She shares her experience of the before times, feeling stuck and unhappy, despite "having it all," and how she came to see this as a transformative event that allowed her to focus on herself, her needs, and her wants. Now in remission, she recently opened the doors of her Direct Speciality Practice, providing holistic Rheumatologic diagnosis and treatment for her patients.
During our talk, she references "The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod; find it here.
