This Sunday we kicked off a brand-new summer series called, “This Verse Changed My Life.”

Throughout this series, we’ll hear from different members of our teaching team as they unpack verses that God has used to deeply shape their faith. These aren't just favorite passages—they're Scriptures that are meant to challenge, change, and help form into becoming more like Christ.

We kicked things off with a message built around one of the most well-known words in the Bible: Hallelujah.

For many of us, praise is something we do when life is going well. But what if praise was never meant to be based on our circumstances? What if your greatest breakthrough isn't waiting for the perfect moment? What if it begins the moment you choose to worship?

We discovered that our hallelujah is more than a song we sing—it's a declaration of who God is, who's truly in control, and a powerful act of obedience that changes us from the inside out.

The beautiful thing about God's Word is that what He does in one person's life, He often wants to do in ours too. We believe Scripture isn't meant to simply inform us—it transforms us. Our prayer is that throughout this series, God would use His Word to strengthen your faith, shift your perspective, and maybe even give you a verse that changes your life too.

This Sunday was a special one for us as we wrapped up the book of Romans. We’ve been in this series since February, and it’s been such a powerful journey. As we close this series, we’re not just looking back, we’re asking, what now?

Romans was never meant to just inform us, it was meant to transform us. It shows us that through Jesus we’ve been given a new footing with God, a new family to belong to, and a new future to step into. But the tension is… We can know all of that, and still not live in it. This Sunday was about closing the gap between what we know and how we live, an invitation to take everything we’ve learned and actually apply it. We explored what it looked like to release the condemnation Jesus has already paid for, to step out of isolation and into the family God has given us, and to begin living in the future He’s already secured for us. 

As we conclude this series, the goal wasn’t just to celebrate what we’ve learned, it’s to step into it, to leave not just encouraged, but activated! We unpacked this in a message called, “The Romans Test.”

Most of us can point to moments in life where we realized that the world doesn't actually revolve around us.

Maybe it was becoming a parent. Maybe it was getting married. Maybe it was caring for a friend in a difficult season. Whatever the circumstance, there's something both humbling and freeing about discovering that life is bigger than our own wants, preferences, and plans.

This week in Romans 15, Paul brings one of the major themes of his letter to a head.

In a culture that constantly tells us to put ourselves first, Paul points us to a different way of living—a life that isn't centered on self, but on loving, serving, encouraging, and building up others. It’s the life that Jesus modeled himself. And ironically, as we learned together, some of the greatest freedom in life is found when we stop trying to be the main character.

Here's the thing — most of us grew up on a certain script for manhood. Be tough. Never flinch. Never need anybody. Win at all costs. Be a real man. But what if that whole script has been pointing us in the wrong direction? What if God is measuring something the world never even thinks to check?

This week we pursued something better than "tough" and higher than "good." We're going after what it means to be a godly man — and trust me, it's not what the tough-guy movies taught us. There's good news in this one for every single person in the room: the dad with four kids, the man still waiting to be one, the guy who didn't have a great father, and the one who feels like he hasn't been one.

This week we continued our series “A New Humanity” and jumped into Romans 14. Have you ever been so sure you were right... and it still went wrong?

We live in a world full of strong, loud opinions, and if we’re not careful, we can start valuing being right more than loving people well and that’s where things start to break down. In Romans 14, Paul doesn’t hold back. He challenges us to pursue unity in the middle of disagreement, stop majoring in minor things, and learn how to carry our convictions in a way that actually reflects Jesus. What if the goal isn’t to win every conversation, but to build something stronger together? What if the way we treat people in disagreement actually says more about our faith than the position we hold?

Romans 14 gets really practical about how we handle disagreements as followers of Jesus. Paul reminds us that not everything is a salvation issue, and challenges us not to judge or look down on each other over those non-essential differences. Instead, we’re called to pursue peace and build each other up. Paul wants us to understand how to hold strong convictions while still loving people well, how to follow what God is leading you to do without forcing it on others, and how to choose unity even when it’s hard.
