You know the feeling. You send the message, you see the tiny word in grey, "Read", and then the three little dots appear… and disappear. Now imagine that’s your prayer. You’ve asked, you know He’s heard, and you’re still waiting.

This Sunday, we wrapped up our series W8 On The Lord by listening in on a conversation Habakkuk has with God – when what he sees with his eyes, doesn't line up with what believes in his heart about God. God's answer might surprise.

Tune into this week’s message called, “…Left On Read”.

Join us for service online or in person every Sunday at 7am (Sacrament Service), 8am, 9:30am, 11:15am, & 4:30pm (C&V Service).

This week, we continued our “W8 On The Lord” series by diving into what it looks like to trust God when life feels like it’s coming at us from every direction.

In 2 Kings 6, Elisha finds himself surrounded by an enemy army. But while his servant sees a battle they can’t win, Elisha sees a God who is greater than anything coming against them.

Sometimes the miracle isn’t that God changes your circumstances, but that He changes your perspective.

And here’s the thing... how you wait and how you win matters. Sometimes the greatest victory isn’t defeating your enemy. It’s refusing to become like your enemy.

Don’t let the wait make you bitter when God wants to make you better!

This year has absolutely flown by. And yet somehow, it also hasn’t.

In parenting, the saying is, “The days are long, but the years are short.” That rings true for more than just parenting.

There are parts of life we wish we could slow down and hold onto a little longer. Then there are seasons we’d give anything to speed up. We don’t want to savor them. We just want to get through them.

That’s especially true when we find ourselves waiting.

When we’re somewhere between where we are and where we want to be, it’s easy to put our heads down and look for the fastest way to whatever comes next.

But rushing through the waiting can cause us to miss what God has for us in it: His grace, the comfort He provides, opportunities for growth, and most importantly, His presence. When we hurry through these moments, we risk not only missing out on what He’s doing, but missing out on Him.

That means that the time between where we are and where we’re going isn’t just the meantime, it’s the time.

So how do we live faithfully in the meantime without rushing, forcing, or wasting a season God wants to use?

That’s what we dove into this weekend, as we continued our series, ‘W8 On The Lord’, with a message called, “In The Meantime”.

This Sunday we continued our series W8 ON THE LORD talking about what it looks like to remain ready while in the wait.

We often pray and hope in life for our dream job, spouse, mentor, new best friend, calling, etc to appear or suddenly walk through the door. But the question for this weekend was… If that happened, would we be ready?

There would almost be nothing worse than getting the thing we prayed for yet not being ready to actually receive it.

Jesus wants us ready for when God walks by our lives looking for someone he can use. In fact, in John 15, what is perhaps the most helpful scripture in the Bible on waiting on the Lord, Jesus helps us ensure that when the “Gardener” walks by, he likes what he sees. Jesus wants to help us be ready for our next Kingdom opportunity.

Jesus wants the Father to see fruit in our lives that he is pleased with, whether anyone else in the world is pleased or not because the fruit the world likes and the fruit that he likes are often very different.

We unpacked this in a message called, “Remain Ready.”

Every Sunday Night we will be diving deeper into specific chapters and verses throughout the bible. We created this service to provide a space to equip our church family with a deeper knowledge and understanding of scripture.

Have you ever prayed for something so long that you started wondering if God even heard you? Or watched everyone else’s prayers get answered while you’re still waiting on yours? Yeah… waiting can get frustrating.

But what if we’ve misunderstood what it means to wait on the Lord?

Waiting on God doesn’t mean putting your life on hold until He answers. It means learning to live with expectation, trusting that He’s still working even when we can’t see it. There’s purpose in the waiting, joy in His presence, and an opportunity to grow in our faith BEFORE the breakthrough comes.

This week we dove into Isaiah 40 and discovered how to stop missing what God is doing RIGHT NOW because we’re so focused on what He hasn’t done yet.

Tune into this week’s message as we unpacked this in a message titled, “Hey God! Did You Forget About Me?”
