This week we concluded our series, “Carry-On Only” all about letting go of the luggage that weighs down our souls.

As we’ve been talking about throughout this series, new seasons often require new ways of doing things. And while a different approach often means picking up something new, it can also mean letting something old go.

And this week we considered an interesting question: What do we do with things we just can’t seem to let go?

Because the truth is that a lot of us carry things with us that don’t necessarily have a clean fix. And there’s something really freeing about what Jesus shows us to do with them.

We looked at the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 and talked about what it actually looks like to trust God with the things we can’t fix, change, or fully understand.

And maybe most importantly: what if healing doesn’t require resolution?

This Sunday we continued our series “Carry-On Only,” and this week’s message is one that likely hit close to home for all of us.

Life is a journey, and whenever we go on a journey we pack luggage. We take things with us that we think we’ll need. But as we’ve been talking about in this series, not everything we pick up along the way was ever meant to come with us.

This week we looked at something that can be good in itself, but can quickly become baggage when we let it take the wrong place in our lives: our goals.

We all have dreams, ambitions, plans, and things we want to accomplish. There’s nothing wrong with having goals. But what happens when the thing we’re pursuing begins to become more important than who God is calling us to become?

That’s the question we wrestled with together in this sermon. We unpacked what it looks like to pursue what God has placed in front of us without allowing our goals to become the thing that leads us.

This Sunday we jumped into a brand new series called, “Carry-On Only.”

Life is a journey. And whenever we go on a journey we pack luggage. We take things with us we think we will need. The problem is that often when we embark on a journey with Jesus we pack too much. We often take with us our preferences, our plans, our ambitions, old habits, the expectations of others, and many other things that weigh us down. But the farther we go with God the less we can take with us. 

In this series we will unpack how to shed the luggage that turns into the baggage that weighs us down so we can go where God’s calling us… The Jesus journey… The journey of a lifetime.

Have you ever realized you were missing something... and you had no idea? Maybe it was something small, like discovering you've been doing something the hard way your whole life. Or maybe it was something deeper—a blind spot you didn't know existed until it started affecting everything.

They say ignorance is bliss. But what if it's only bliss... until it's not?

This Sunday we saw that very moment unfold in the book of Acts, as we unpack the story of Simon The Sorcerer. Simon’s story raises an interesting question: Is it possible to be around the things of God without truly experiencing God Himself?

It’s a challenging question for sure, but one whose answer has the potential to move us deeper into meaningful and authentic relationship with Christ.

Have you ever done everything you knew to do... and still watched life fall apart?

Maybe you've prayed. Stayed faithful. Trusted God. And yet you're left wondering why the pain didn't stop or why God feels silent in the middle of it.

This Sunday, we continued our series, This Verse Changed My Life, by stepping into the story of Job – a man who knew what it was like to lose everything, ask hard questions, and wrestle with God's silence.

We discovered that even when we can't see what God is doing, He is still present, still faithful, and still at work. Sometimes the greatest transformation doesn't come from getting all the answers–it comes from encountering God in the middle of our questions.
