Cassandra Peterson digs into why it took decades to convince publishers this was more than a Halloween gag, but rather a year-round goth lifestyle guide, complete with stories from her childhood, her time in Italy (where she learned to cook and, oh yeah, got kidnapped), and even recipes tied to the 1988 Elvira: Mistress of the Dark film.
