Catholic in a Small Town

Catholic in a Small Town goes big time with its new affiliation with SQPN; Mac loses his voice; emails address homosexuality argument on Studio 60; we dont give away the ending of the Prestige; and discuss obsession in that movie and our lives.

Big Disclaimer: Please excuse our sound problems with Katherines mic. We are getting used to new equipment.

This Week - Ben's birthday party is a big hit; Sam hits the terrible twos early; we have a special interview with a Swainsboro High School student, Patrick Hall; Katherine's This Profound Life segment; and we read from our ONE email this week... not that we're bitter.

Theme music by Mary Bragg

All movie quotes from Airplane.

Special thanks to Patrick Hall

Emails from around the world; Fr. Roderick's new moniker; the beauty of boiled peanuts.Halloween business, Kat's sister up and gets married; new bunk beds and feelings of inadequacy (with Katherine, of course). Clergy abuse scandals and our faith.

This week: Camping with lots of family, no hablas espaniol at the Spanish Mass, out first ever audio feedback, Studio 60's Christian, Mac is the biggest BSG Geek ever (shocker), and finally - Katherine talks up the elections in This Profound Life.

It's a 4 day week!!! (work week that is) Mac mom gets a MacBook (are we jealous....yes), entertainment saturation, and man's nature.

This Week: Homecoming at Swainsboro High School, our Saturday in Atlanta, we read from your email... and make it clear that we do NOT think Muslims and Jews are "funky", Colby fills us in on his favorite car, Katherine's This Profound Life show goes "Small Town", and Katherine is on an end of the world book kick!

This week:  Playstation resurrection, 9 weeks tests, Extreme Home Makeover makes saps like Katherine cry.  Also, Mac reviews The Departed and we look at the Church portrayed in film.

This Week: The fam takes in a local arts festival, Katherine's Sunday School class makes her proud, the long fall of Gwenyth Paltrow and we discuss why scaring the "Hell" out of teenagers may not be the best tactic.

This week: Technical difficulties, our trip to the river, a new animal in our house, how being Catholic is like being a Mac user, Grey's anatomy and other all consuming shows.

This Week: Everything must go!  We have a yard sale.  Our three year old spends $20 on iTunes.  We don't quite review the 5th season of Smallville.  Natural Family Planning is the Catholic topic this week.  And we mention a few podcasts.
