During his time in the Secret Service, he protected high-profile world leaders, including the President of Iran and then-Vice President Biden. In 2021, CE became Grandmaster winner of the Clive Cussler Adventure Writers Competition for his novel, Drone Kings, beating out 80 other titles. His short story Actual Stop appeared in the August 2021 edition of Mystery Weekly Magazine.  CE co-hosts The Crew Reviews weekly podcast, which features conversations with best-selling authors.
