Kyrie Irving led the Boston Celtics to their 2nd straight win on the road and on the second night of a back to back. Marcus Smart was once again impressive on both sides of the ball. The Celtics now go home to face the Memphis Grizzlies Monday night.

The Celtics had over a week to contemplate how to come back from their 3 game losing streak following the All-Star break. An unlikely hero in Daniel Theis emerged, as he led the Celtics with 19 points and 7 rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench in the 100-98 victory. He stepped in for Aron Baynes as he left after just 3 minutes with an elbow injury and would not return. Marcus Smart played 26 minutes in his return from the controversial hand injury that caused him to miss 11 games, and is expected to have full availability for the remainder of the season.

Marcus Smart will return to the lineup tonight after missing nearly a month with a lacerated hand. However, the Celtics will still be without Shane Larkin as he continues to battle a bad knee. The Pistons will continue to be without Reggie Jackson, as he deals with an ankle sprain.

ESPN report claims that the Cavaliers front office held a meeting in which they discussed the possibility of trading Kyrie Irving. After finding out that this meeting took place, Irving took it upon himself to request a trade.

An FBI report cited multiple current NBA players in a scandal where players accepted money from former NBA Agent Andy Miller. Among the players mentioned include Dennis Smith Jr., Kyle Kuzma, Kyle Lowry, and Markelle Fultz.
