Terry Rozier got his first NBA start last night against the New York Knicks as Kyrie Irving was hurt. Rozier recorded a triple double and helped the Celtics to a blowout win 103-73. Rozier received high praise from Marcus Morris and Brad Stevens. Morris went down in the game last night with a hip injury. The NBA trade deadline approaches, and LeBron James says he would meet with the Golden State Warriors.
Missing three point guards? No problem for Terry Rozier and the Boston Celtics who dismantle the New York Knicks in the second half on their way to a 30 point blowout at the TD Garden Wednesday night. Rozier registered a triple-double in his first career start.

The Celtics will be without Kyrie Irving tonight against the Knicks, as the All-Star point guard will sit with a right quad contusion. The Celtics are 1-2 without Irving this season. Cleveland took a worse blow last night, as Kevin Love broke his hand and may miss up to two months, including his second straight All-Star game. Does Jaylen Brown deserve that replacement spot?

The news around the NBA today is the trade between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Detroit Pistons. Blake Griffin, Willie Reed and Brice Johnson are traded to Detroit and Los Angeles gets former Celtic Avery Bradley, Tobias Harris, Boban Marjonovic, Detroit's first round pick this year and second round pick next year. This trade certainly caught many people off guard around the league. The Celtics return from their West Coast road trip at 2-2 with a disappointing loss to the Lakers. Tomorrow night at 8 p.m on ESPN the Celtics return to the Garden to take on the New York Knicks.
The Celtics got off to an early lead in Denver, leading by as much as 20 points in the second quarter, before the Nuggets came back to take the lead late in the third. They needed all 27 points they got from Kyrie Irving, as he led Celtics scorers with 10 points in the 4th. The C's finish the 4 game trip at 2-2, as they will head back to Boston with the Knicks coming on Wednesday night.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Clippers have traded Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Avery Bradley, Tobias Harris and a first- and second-round draft pick.
Center Boban Marjanovic also goes to L.A., while reserves Willie Reed and Brice Johnson head to Detroit.
According to the report, the protections on Detroit’s 2018 first-round pick are 1-4 in 2018, 2019 and 2020, and unprotected in 2021.
