The Eastern Conference entered turmoil on the second day of free agency as the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers made major moves that have them in retreat. The Orlando Magic were one of the few teams to attack the weakened conference and position themselves to be players atop the Eastern Conference.

Orlando sensed this was the time to attack and addressed their backcourt and shooting issues with Desmond Bane and Tyus Jones. They are now positioned to advance deep into the Playoffs if they can take it on the court.

As the dust begins to settle on free agency, the Magic should emerge in the top tier with a real chance to win the Eastern Conference.
