  • Episode 47 - Adam Rudolph of the Go Organic Orchestra
Adam Rudolph is the Conductor, and Composer of the Go Organic Orchestra, which has ensembles in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and all over Europe. Adam's earliest music experiences are of the South Side of Chicago in the 50's and 60's where he heard many of the greats of American Jazz and Blues including the Modern Jazz Quartet. He started learning Tabla at age 16. He traveled to Ghana in 1977 and shortly thereafter founded the Mandingo Griot Society an Early African/American Fusion ensemble. He also collaborated with Don Cherry, of the Organic Music Theater, and Yusef Lateef. The Go Organic Orchestra attempts to make real magic by allowing the players to participate in spontaneous composition that is held together by previously agreed upon pitch and rhythm material. Andrew Noble, Michael Brown, and Kirk Duval

Michael Brown is an Austin based Keyboardist whom we first met at a recording session last year.  He has one of the best keyboard rigs we have ever seen.  Needless to say, we hit it off instantly. Michael uses all analog classic synths running through a stellar pedal board. His band Solid State Dream Suit is a killer synth driven explosion of fun.  Check them out here https://ssds.bandcamp.com/releases

The opening track is a new one called Village Creek. The talented Mr. Brown displays some serious swagger on this song. The closer track is Nervous by Solid State Dream Suit. This is a proper studio recording by the band. Enjoy yourself darling.

  • Episode 43 - Immigrant Song
In response to the Trump administrations bigoted, and perhaps illegal, Muslim Travel Ban Andrew and Kirk take some time to discuss the immigrant musicians experience in America. Andrew decided to take a moment to research the NBC orchestra as conducted by Arturo Toscanini, which was composed of many musicians who were fleeing the fascism and bigotry of Europe in the early 20th century. Andrew can trace his viola lineage back to a member of that orchestra, William Primrose, through Donald McInnes and Roger Myers. There are many stories of immigrant musicians of all lands and faiths in America, so we don't have time for all. The guys of course talk about their gigs, and their new gear. Independent music critics love reference points in music that is utterly contemporary. The Pink Dust have those to offer in spades.
