As a Correctional Officer myself, I feel there is a misconception on the role of Correctional Officer. Viewed as goons, Violent people, screws and other negative names being portrayed by the public. In this podcast, I discuss many things the about job and the mental health aspects of the Correctional Officer that silent in many articles by the public. Many Correctional Officer suffer is silence, telling themselves that seeking help is weak and being taught by the institution in getting help is a sign of weakness. Many Correctional Officer feel that they do not want to burden family or co-workers.
