In this episode, I talk about how mindfulness expands beyond meditation. It is something you can do all the time. Mindfulness includes active and passive outlets. You can wash dishes being mindful, talk to a friend, being mindful, driving, exercise, etc. Yoga is also about being in the present moment through movement.
I expand on...

So, I don’t know if you are aware…but you think a lot, and most of what you think about is negative.
Yes, negative. I am not saying you are negative by choice, it’s just how your brain is built.
We are gonna talk about the brain and negative bias and how to stop it from mucking up your life.

How do you know if you are mindful?
It is an interesting question and one that makes a lot of sense if you think about it. If you are new to mindfulness then you may not feel as though you are being mindful. What does it feel like and how do you know when you are?
Mindfulness, as I have mentioned before is a natural state of being present without judgment.
In this episode, I talk about...

Have you ever walked out of a building and then looked up to realize you are noticing something beyond your tiny thinking? Yea… like that.
We have been told to look up our entire life, but do we really?
When we mop around or are sad, we tend to look down, averting eye contact. In some ways, it can feel easier, because we can hide for a while.
In this episode, I am going to discuss looking up....literally and figurative.

Grieving mindfully
Grief is the most complex emotion next to love.
And when it hits us we don’t know what to do. It feels like our brain stops working while our body catches up. It’s a horrible feeling.
Grieving is something we all have to do at one point in our lives. We can’t get out of this one alive. Yet, it is an emotion that we stuff as far down as we can. We want to believe it is not true, that we can change it and that we are being punished by it. All of this is further than the truth.
Grief is one of the greatest teachers. It forces you to look within. To appreciate the small things in life, to teach you how to use your grief on purpose and above all to be more compassionate with yourself and others.
In this episode, I share a story about grief and ways to mindfully grief.

Increase your self-confidence
Confidence is a feeling that you can trust your own judgment and abilities. It is a feeling of worth that resides deep within. It is a belief in this despite what your mind or others are telling you. For many of us, confidence is learned and grown into. We often see the confidence and strength in others and not in ourselves.

So, can anxiety ever really go away?
Well, the answer is yes and no.
Anxiety is normal in certain circumstances. It is our primitive brain doing it’s best to keep us safe. It's when it gets attached to everything we do that we have a problem.
In this episode, I talk about managing anxiety expectations.
