  • In The Word | Receive and Walk in Jesus

In Colossians 2, Paul reminds the Colossians what it means and looks like to receive Christ and to walk in Him. In order to step in Jesus, we must step out of something and leave something behind. We don't have the ability to earn God's love. The only way to walk with Him is to trust in His finished work, not your works. At salvation, we are rooted in Christ. Once we are rooted in Christ, we are rooted once and for all. If we are rooted, the more built up and established we are to resemble Christ. The question is though...Have you been rooted in Christ? Listen to this sermon from part seven of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | That Our Hearts May Be Encouraged

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the sixth part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. Paul is calling for unity to the church in Colossae. When is the last time that we have prayed for the church like Paul prayed for the church? We are called to pray for the church, all local churches. We are called to be unified. God is calling us as the church to encourage and come alongside each other. God has given us an opportunity to grow in power and strength. When the church is welded together, the big c church is stronger. It starts with you and I to lock arms together. How are we encouraging one another for the sake of unity and for the sake of the gospel being spread in our community and world?

  • In The Word | That Our Hearts May Be Encouraged

In Colossians 2, Paul is calling for unity. Paul doesn't want the church of Colossae to be an effective church turned to an ineffective church. Paul prayed that their hearts be encouraged and having been knit together in love. He's praying that the church be encouraged and be knitted together in love. Being encouraged means that we are united and doing life together. When the church is welded together, the big c Church is stronger. What are we doing today to encourage one another and come alongside each other? Listen to this sermon from part six of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | The Response to Knowing Jesus

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the fifth part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. As followers of Christ, there is suffering that we will have to endure and sacrifices that we will have to make. Being obedient is going to come with suffering. Are we willing to walk through the temporary for the sake of the eternal? Are we going to have an eternal mindset as we walk through the temporary struggles and sacrifices of life?

  • In The Word | The Response to Knowing Jesus

To close out chapter one of Colossians, we look at who Paul is, what Paul does, and why Paul does it. From looking at these three things in Paul's life, we see how we must submit to where God has called us and placed us. Even when feeling unqualified, God will equip those He has called. It is the responsibility as followers of Christ to preach and proclaim Christ. While it is expected for Christ followers to face suffering, the reason why we do what we do as Christians is because we want people to be presented to Christ in maturity. • Let's Go | Reconciled Back to the Father

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the fourth part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. We serve a God who is big enough to hold the universe together, and He's also big enough to hold you together. God is currently and presently holding it all together. No matter how discouraged or hopeless you may feel, you can always turn your eyes to Jesus and know that He's holding it all together. Could it be that Jesus is about to use what's falling apart in your own life to ultimately bring Him glory? Are you letting Him use your circumstances, your pain, your weakness?

  • In The Word | Reconciled Back to the Father

In his letter to the church of Colossae, Paul is not just praying that they be filled with the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of who God is but he's also doing something about it. Paul speaks of Jesus being Creator, the head of the Church, and Savior. For you to step from darkness to light, it has nothing to do with you but it is only by the grace of Jesus. To step from darkness to light, it has nothing to do with you but it is only by the grace of Jesus. In that moment of salvation, we are adopted into the family of God. We are reconciled back to the Father. That's what salvation is. Listen to this sermon from part four of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | Walking in The Light

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Brandon and Pastor Chase look back on Pastor Jared's message in the third part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. As followers of Christ, we will continue to fall short, but being in Christ will drive us to continue to walk in Christ. We need to look to Jesus as our source of light and redemption. He has paid the full price for our sin and we get to walk in that. He has rescued us from the darkness. We must walk as free people and look to Jesus. May we look to Jesus as King and walk in the freedom He has given us.

  • In The Word | Walking in The Light

From an early age, we know that darkness is not good. It's natural for children to be scared of the dark. We were hardwired for the light. As Paul writes in Colossians, God has delivered us from the domain of darkness. If you are not in Christ, then you are in darkness. The world needs light. The only light is Jesus. As followers of Christ, we are called to carry this light to the dark world around us. We must walk as children of the light. Are you going to walk in the light or you going to walk away from the light? Listen to this sermon from part three of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | Filling Our Minds With The Truth

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the second part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. We've been created to be fed by the truth of God's Word and be filled with it. In order to make room for the truth in our lives, we must empty out the lies. What are the voices that we are listening to throughout the day that are not true? What voices are speaking into our lives? We need to audit what voices we are listening to and make room for the truth. Walking with Him reveals His wisdom.

His wisdom reveals His will. His will leads to work, and His work produces His fruit. Are you allowing God to use you where you are?
