  • In The Word | Things to Put Off and Put On

In Colossians 3:5-16, Paul is telling the Colossians things they need to put off and put on as Christians. We all have things we need to put off in our lives and things we need to put on. We all have a ton of reasons to worship Him and give Him thanks. As Paul lists what we need to put off and on as Christ followers, we see that's when we receive Christ's peace. What do you need to put off in your life and what do you need to put on? Do you have a heart of gratitude? Listen to this sermon from part twelve of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | Seek and Set Your Mind On Things Above

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the tenth part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. Paul reminds the Colossians to seek and set your mind on things above. It's not just knowing who we are in Christ but walking in Christ. When we do this, the world will see the difference in how we live. Paul is teaching the Colossians how to overcome their sin. If we seek Jesus, we will find Him. If we are not seeking the things that are above, we are seeking the things of this world. Who and what are you seeking and setting your minds on?

Let's Go is a series of podcast episodes where we look back on the message from Sunday and take a look at how it applies to our life.

  • In The Word | Seek and Set Your Mind On Things Above

In Colossians 3:1-4, Paul tells the Colossians to walk in who they are in Christ. It’s not just about knowing who we are in Christ but now taking advantage of who we are in Christ. If we are in Christ, we should live like it. As Paul reminds the Colossians, we must keep seeking the things above and set our minds on the things above. The more we know about Him, the more we will look like Him. When our affections and love for our Savior grows for who He is, it produces obedience because we are being molded into the image of God. Once we are in Christ, there is nothing the enemy can do to take Christ from us. This is hope. This is victory. Watch this sermon from part eleven of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | Don't Forget Who You Are

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the ninth part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. Paul is reminding the Colossians of their identity. Being reminded of our identity in Christ is important to us too. Don't forget who you are. Don't forget that in Jesus you are complete. Your salvation has nothing to do with your performance but it has everything to do with what Jesus has already done on your behalf. What would happen if we would die to all the distractions we face and would focus on Christ? Worship God not to receive anything additional from Him but worship in response to what God has already done on our behalf. Focus more on Jesus than on your baggage and watch what He does in your life and in the life of others.

  • In The Word | Don't Forget Who You Are

In Colossians 2:16-23, Paul tells the Colossians to not forget who they are in Christ. The enemy’s mission is to distract, entice, and pull us away from our focus on who we are in Christ. The enemy wants to cast shadows to distract us, but the shadow doesn’t change the reality of who Christ is and who we are in Christ Jesus. As Christians, we cannot forget who we are in Christ and overlook the freedom we have in Him. Are we walking in the freedom of who we are in Christ? Listen to this sermon from part ten of our In The Word series as we walk through the book of Colossians.

  • Let's Go | Remember Who Christ Is

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Sunday where we celebrated 13 more baptisms. We can never grow tired of celebrating new life in Christ and then we must remember who Christ is for us. We thank Christ for what He has done for us and we respond by living for Him. In a day of recalibration and remembrance, through baptism and communion, we remember who Christ is and what He has done for us to share this news and live for Him.

  • In The Word | Remember Who Christ Is

Remembering who Christ is and what He has done should birth a response in us as Christ followers. As we take time to remember who Christ is and who we are in Christ, we see that communion is remembering the covenant between us and God. We need to remember why God saved us to begin with. It was because He desired a relationship with us and Jesus' sacrifice was the reconciliation of this broken relationship. This is why we celebrate. • Let's Go | What It Means To Be Baptized

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the eighth part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. Baptism is an outward expression of a spiritual event. It is the proclamation of your salvation. Baptism is not salvation. The moment we place our faith in Jesus. Jesus disarms the enemy with every accusation he has on us and the blood of Jesus covers us. Are you walking in this victory and are you celebrating in this victory with others?

  • In The Word | What It Means to Be Baptized

In Colossians 2:12-15, Paul reminds the Colossians what it means to be baptized. Baptism is an outward expression of a spiritual event. Just as a wedding ring is an emblem of a marriage, baptism Is the emblem of salvation. Baptism does not save you but it is the proclamation of your salvation. The two questions are: (1) Have you gone public with your salvation? and (2) Have you ever trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? • Let's Go | Receive and Walk in Jesus

In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Pastor Brian's message in the seventh part of our In The Word series walking through the book of Colossians. What does it mean to be in Christ? In order to step into Christ, we must step out of something and leave something behind. This is repentance. The only way to walk in Jesus is to trust in His finished work instead of your works. Walk in Him. Share your story.
