Let’s get a couple things out of the way right now…

A) This episode definitely went long, maybe the longest one yet… and B) That title is definitely some good life advice but may or may not have anything to do with the episode.

So, this week we continue to ramble on about the World Cup. Come on, it’s el mundial! We have to. The good news, this time we imagine ourselves as players… yeah. This leads to some debate about rivalries after someone brings up the Donovan controversy. That, of course, shuffles us over to a discourse on a bad review… garbage… absolute garbage… someone is hung up on it.

At this point… we stumble onto a big topic… serious shuffle time. Know how we joke about there being no editing or fact checking… this is one of those times. The topic… vaccines.

This episode gets heated a couple times, enjoy.

It’s someone’s birthday and we give an overview of the party… but first, he’s got to take some unrelated s**t. This involves some discourse about partying then and now. Good times and good stories! Mixed in is some Mundial (World Cup) talk because it’s that time.

We follow that up with some conversation about thoughts and stories of a recent trip to Arizona. Deja vu time… Mixed in is some Mundial talk because it’s that time. Segue to more Mundial related talk and more trip related talk then more party talk. Sounds like a broken record but trust… esta chido.

In typical shuffle fashion that segues somehow to Minecraft. Yes, the video game. So, there is some video game discussion here. Then shuffle again to a dialogue on the Supreme Court decision on union fees.

We kick off with a quick recap of el compa’s stand up comedy show. Shuffle to El Mundial… the World Cup! The excitement… the Northgate runs… the comedy… the controversy… the emotions! Ooooole, oooole, ooole… oooole! Yeah, episode over.

No… yeah… the episode continues. It shuffles over to a more serious note, this horrible deal with the migrant children and the 8 year old that got the cops called on her. To cool down the mood… micheladas! Salud! Shuffle to story time… someone takes a trip to the engine whisperer then someone tells us another couple good mechanic stories.

Warning: at this point, mistakes were made. No apology because it turns out to be a hilarious mistake that keeps on giving. Long story short… someone gets corrected but turns out he was correct to begin with (fact check was made after the episode).

Things get a little serious again… things are pretty serious in the country… but not to worry, shuffle… back to the pendejadas.

We chat it up about all kinds of pendejadas… in typical shuffle fashion. The discussion kicks off with tacos… of course. That leads somehow into confusing fans with family and “celebrity” status. We touch on the #MeToo in both a serious and not so serious tone. Plus a celebrity encounter at Momo’s last show gone wrong.

Big Citric tells us about his start in the “biz” and the story how he met Momo. They also tell us a few stories about el jefe, Mr. Lopez. Then we have a discourse about Latinos in comedy and show business in general. That transitions nicely to making your own way in life and everything else.

It’s all wrapped up with 10… 12… or 15 questions, something like that, with Big Citric.

Warning: The first 9 1/2 minutes may sound like they were recorded through a kid’s toy recorder… it might have been… but we eventually figure it out. We don’t edit was the consensus and the episode carries on.

We started off with a conversation about the “player” advice someone received early on and how it ties in with the first time. Along the way we side track with some stories of the man, the legend… the grandpa. Somehow the conversation swings back around to the cabron at the condom factory messing with someone. We have a short discussion about The Smiths and Moz then someone tells us about cleaning the garage. Then a shuffle over to a discourse about working with tools and some old work stories including working with drywall, breaking some child labor laws, and warming up some burritos. We segue into golf… yeah golf… it’s a solid segue. Actually, the talk turns to golf and hard times.

Continuing on… a story of heading to the gun range then a transition to another Netflix show or documentary. Shuffle… Urb-e… Shuffle… Urb-e…Shuffle… and some serious talk about immigration policy and a couple related headlines.

This week we kick it off with somewhat of a recap of the East LA CAPE experience. Good times and good people, check. The shuffle continues on down the rabbit hole with an attempt to catch up with all the headlines. Which seems unlikely. We touch on quite a few topics: racism, a Georgia governor race, Haitians in Tijuana, a very douchy Starbucks cup and of course, Santa Fe, Texas.

It’s moves on to translators doing a horrible job in the ring. A very personal “Is It Douchy”. Something about the issues of lending money. Plus, we confront an issue that is tearing the show apart one interview at a time… or maybe just being a slight annoyance.

It’s all wrapped up with a bow in the episode recap.

We packed up the gear, threw on our shuffle shirts, and headed to the East LA C.A.P.E (formerly East LA ComicCon)… some of us much earlier than others. What is there to say… we had a great time! It was a chingon event that we were honored to be a part of. Thanks for the invite.

The episode was recorded live on site at the Chicano Shuffle booth and is basically one guest after another. There were so many people we wanted to talk to but sadly, not enough time. There is always next time. That being said, grab that memory foam seat pad and brace yourself… this episode is loooong… but totally worth it. It’s filled with the usual laughs and some very inspiring interviews. We left with a slight high from all the positive vibes and inspiration. Guest list was as follows:

So we’re back it… we’ve got another fresh taco-inspired cover for the raza to kick off the episode. Recorded live in the studio garage, not to be skipped!

Someone went on a roundtrip and brought back no stories. We then go on to try catching up on all the recent news… lots has went down in the world. The catch up starts with the “golden state killer”, Cosby and Kanye plus it continues through out the episode. That transitions us to a discourse about music, specifically rap/hip hop and how someone is getting into some modern music.

The shuffle segues to a story of a recent trip to the mall. That desmadre rolls us right into a classic shuffle story involving a roadtrip, beef jerkey, and a camera. Not going to lie… esta chingon. After all that… shuffle… to random news from the headlines about a screening of a new movie. Then… shuffle… to someone’s continued journey back into the music scene and our night out supporting the raza.

And that’s about 60% of the episode… it’s a packed one. We wrapped it up with “quiere llorar,  quiere llorar”, some LAFC news, and the most valuable paisa.
