  • What Making a Murderer Gets Wrong
If you recall Chip and Cern were sucked in to the Netflix hit documentary Making a Murderer. If you missed those episodes check out the Chip and Cern Show Making a Murderer intro, recap and follow up. Ken Kratz the lead prosecutor for the case is out with a new book that is filling in the details, evidence and facts that the Netflix “docudrama” left out. Chip and Cern hear all the facts and then make their own judgements on the guilt or innocence of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassi.    Kratz new book titled, Avery: The Case Against Steven Avery and What "Making a Murderer" Gets Wrong, aims to clear up some of the mistruths from the Netflix documentary or “docudrama” as Kratz puts it. On the Jim and Sam Show on SiriusXM, Kratz did an interview which Chip and Cern listen to and pulled some notes from.   Chip and Cern have not done this much research on a topic in years.    Ken Kratz was clearly the villain in the Making a Murderer series and had his own demons involving sexting clients, popping pills and other sins.    The way to watch this series or even read this book is with a giant grain of salt.    Here is some evidence that Making a Murderer left out according to Ken Kratz.    There was additional DNA evidence pointing to Avery. According to prosecutor Ken Kratz, that is. Avery's DNA was found under Halbach's trunk (though earlier he said it was found under the hood). It wasn’t blood. It was from his sweaty hands. Do the cops also have a vial of his sweat that they are carrying around? The evidence conclusively shows that Steven Avery’s hand was under the hood when he insists he never touched her car, said Kratz. Teresa's belongings were found on Avery's property. Kratz said her phone and camera were found 20 feet from Avery's door. "This isn’t contested" he said. "It was all presented as evidence at the jury trial, and the documentary people don’t tell you that." Teresa’s phone, camera and PDA were found 20 ft from Avery’s door, burned in his barrel.   Avery targeted Teresa.  On Oct 31 (8:12 am) he called AutoTrader magazine and asked them to send “that same girl who was here last time.”  On Oct 10, Teresa had been to the Avery property when Steve answered the door just wearing a towel.  She said she would not go back because she was scared of him (obviously).  Avery used a fake name and fake # (his sister’s) giving those to the AutoTrader receptionist, to trick Teresa into coming.   Bullet with Ms. Halbach’s DNA on it found in Mr. Avery’s garage was matched to a rifle that hung over Mr. Avery’s bed.   1. Leg irons and handcuffs were found in Avery's residence and in Dassey's   The criminal complaint contended that authorities "located items of restraints within Steven Avery's residence including hand cuffs and leg irons.   2. Avery and his girlfriend had a less than rosy relationship at times The Netflix documentary paints the romance of Jodi and Steven as a positive one. It may have been in some ways, but there were also some problems. According to the Milwaukee magazine story,"In September 2004, sheriff deputies arrested Avery for violating a disorderly conduct ordinance after an altercation with (Jodi) Stachowski. The court ordered him to stay away from the woman for 72 hours and pay a fine of $243."   3. The car key unearthed in Avery's residence had DNA from his sweat on it, the prosecutor says   The documentary makes tangential reference about perspiration but not in a way that it's focused on or made particularly memorable. Rather, the documentary seemed to focus more on just saying his DNA was on the Halbach car key and focusing on a theory that law enforcement planted Avery's blood in Halbach's car (which they deny).   From the Milwaukee magazine article, "A state analyst determined blood from the car and dried perspiration on the car key matched Steven Avery's DNA."Kratz also detailed this contention in his opening statement in the Dassey trial, according to the transcript, saying the crime lab analyst recovered a full DNA profile of Avery from the sweat on this key.   (update: the defense claims it was not proven that this was sweat or what is called “touch DNA").   4. Dassey's mother said Dassey helped Avery clean his garage floor   The Milwaukee Magazine article further stated that, "On February 27, Dassey's mother spoke with police investigators. Barbara Janda, 41, mentioned that her son had stained his pants while helping his uncle clean his garage floor around Halloween. "Also, according to the Department of Justice investigator's testimony in Dassey's trial, Dassey's pants had bleach stains that he said were from helping clean the garage, transcripts say.   5. Pornography was recovered in Avery's residence. The Wisconsin State Journal reported on Nov. 12, 2005 that officers recovered "pornographic material, according to the search warrants."   6. The previous animal cruelty case involved a bonfire   This animal abuse incident was mentioned in the documentary but not in great detail. According to an Associated Press story from Nov. 20, 2005, "Steven was convicted in 1981of burglary. He got five years probation, which was revoked in 1982 after he was charged with animal cruelty for pouring gasoline on a cat and throwing it into a bonfire."   7. Avery had drawn a torture chamber while in prison and was violent to other women According to an Appleton Post Crescent article from March 9, 2006, "While he was in prison, Steven Avery planned the torture and killing of a young woman, new documents released Wednesday indicate. The allegations are included in 22 pages of court documents accompanying additional charges filed by Calumet County Dist. Atty. Ken Kratz. … Kratz also included in Wednesday's filings statements from prisoners who served time with Avery at Green Bay Correctional Institution. They said Avery talked about and showed them diagrams of a torture chamber he planned to build when he was released." Furthermore, reported the newspaper, "The filings also include statements from a woman, now 41, who said she was raped by Avery, who told her "if she yelled or screamed there was going to be trouble" There also is an affidavit from a girl who said she was raped by Avery. "The victim's mother indicated that the victim does not want to speak about the sexual assault between her and Steven Avery because Steven Avery told her if she "told anyone about their activities together he would kill her family,"; the filing said. According to the newspaper article, "The affidavit said Avery admitted to his fiancee that he had sexually assaulted the girl"   8. Avery once opened his door "just wearing a towel" when Halbach went to his property previously There's evidence for this one, but it was never allowed in trial. This was one of Kratz’ claims to People Magazine. According to People Magazine, "He cites Halbach's Oct. 10, 2005 visit to the property owned by Avery's family for a photo shoot for AutoTrader magazine:   According to Kratz, Avery allegedly opened his door "just wearing a towel. She was creeped out [by him]. ... She [went to her employer and] said she would not go back because she was scared of him."   9. Avery called Auto Trader to specifically request Halbach the day she died. This is also contained in the same AP story. It said that the same woman, Pliszka, testified –this time before the jury – that Avery called her on Oct. 31, 2005 "to request the photographer who had been out to the property previously."   Angela Schuster, magazine operations supervisor, further testified that Halbach went to the Avery compound six times from June to Halloween to take pictures and also said, “She talked to Halbach by phone around 11 a.m. that day to tell her of the appointment at the Avery property," according to the AP.   10. Avery called Halbach's cell phone three times, twice using the Star-67 feature to hide his identity. According to a newspaper article in the River Falls Journal from Feb. 28, 2007, Luring Cellular company workers Bobbi Dohrwardt and Laura Schadrie testified that “Avery’s cell phone made three calls to Halbach's cell, and he twice used the Star-67 feature that hid his identity." These calls came in about 2:30 p.m. According to an Associated Press article from Feb. 28, 2007, "The third call was placed about two hours later." It lasted 13 seconds," and the phone company worker couldn’t tell. if it was answered or went into voice mail.   11. Avery gave a false name when he called Auto Trader   From the same AP story, "Prosecutors are trying to convince a jury that Avery lured Halbach to the family salvage yard by booking an appointment with the magazine, using the name of his sister Barb Janda, to take a picture of a red minivan that Janda wanted to sell." Of course, this could be explained by the fact that it was his sister's car that Halbach was to photograph.   12. The burnt bone fragments were mixed with steel tire belts   According to the criminal complaint, "Officers also located remnants of steel belts of tires that appear to have been utilized as fire accelerants"   A Nov. 15, 2005 Wisconsin State Journal article reported that, "Investigators also said in the court documents that they found steel belts of about six tires that were used as fire accelerants. They also found a number of 5-gallon buckets that appeared to have been used to distribute burned remains."Kratz told People Magazine the bone fragments “were intertwined with the steel belts."   13. Avery's blood was found in six places in the Halbach vehicle, and DNA from his sweat was found on a hood latch, the prosecutor says   I found this in Kratz'; opening statement in the Dassey trial transcript. He told the jury that the Avery blood was found on the ignition of the vehicle, on a CD case and on seats. He also said that Avery had a cut on his finger. And he stated that the state crime lab analyst had found DNA from Avery's sweat on the hood latch of the Halbach vehicle. He also stated that Dassey had said in his confession that Avery opened the car's hood.   14. Avery's rifle matched the bullet with the Halbach DNA on it   This is also in the opening statement. It says that Dassey said the bullet in the garage came from a specific gun of Avery's that hung on Avery's wall and that forensic testing matched the bullet with the Halbach DNA to this specific gun. This bullet was found months later by a Manitowoc law enforcement officer after others missed it during repeated searches.   After hearing a bit more evidence what say you about the guilt of Steven Avery?  Let us know of Twitter, FB or our newest platform, Instagram.    The collaboration with Elemental Supply Co is now live! • Nintendo Switch, New xBox, and Playstation 5
One of the most anticipated gaming consoles of 2017 is launching early March and Chip and Cern have the full recap of Nintendo Switch. What are the details, who is going to buy it and what games are coming out? Chip and Cern also talk over who this is the perfect device for and if Chip or Cern will be purchasing one.   Chip never really got a good video game system when they first came out, but he does really enjoy memories from playing N64 and Goldeneye on that. Cern should play the OG Nintendo with Mario and Super Mario.   Nintendo hasn’t really had an awesome video game since the Wii which really was ground breaking at the time and really forced Xbox and Sony to make these half VR type games.    Here is the new Nintendo Switch trailer.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5uik5fgIaI   Cern thought the Switch looked cool, but he is gonna stick to xBox.    Chip and Cern read more about the new xBox and Playstations coming this 2017 holiday season.    Here is more info about xBox’s Project Scorpio: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/project-scorpio   Here is more info about Playstation’s newest console: http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/ps5-release-date-news-and-features-1213409   Are you going to pick up the next console from Nintendo? Cern got a nice deal/ coupon for the Berries and accidentally picked the wrong date so they came a few weeks early. Cern’s wife now has gotten a gift for Cern based on the perceived value for the Sherries Berries.   Chip’s wife loves the really nice cards and so that is what Chip will prob go with this Valentine’s Day. Cern doesn’t like going to with the jewelry because it sets the bar too high.   Chip has the top Valentine’s Day gifts for your guy from Goodhouse Keeping.    Cern has the top Valentine’s Day gifts for the ladies from AskMen.   Despite just saying they don’t like jewelry as a gift Chip and Cern love this MVMT watch Cern just discovered.    6 packs of favorite beers, which Chip and Cern gave the “ehhhhh” to this gift.   MeUndies are a huge hit with Chip and Cern.    Kate Spade bangles would be a big hit with any lady.    Smart watches are obviously going to be a big gift this Valentine’s Day.   StubHub gift cards would be good for that sports fan or concert goer. • Hatching a Hatchimals
The biggest Chip and Cern Show ever! 5 guests flood the studio as young and old gather around to hatch this season’s hottest toy a Hatchimal! Will it be a Penguala or a Draggle? What color? And most importantly will it curse?   Chip and Cern rolled out the welcome mat for everyone from Chip’s daughter to Cern’s wife.    Guests:   Charlee: 15 months Jeffrey: 4 years old Zach: 9 years old Chip’s wife, Kristen Cern’s wife, Robin (age unknown)   Jeffrey and Zach were pretty pumped to hatch this thing. There are a few different breads of Hatchimal and it will chose us. The egg was way smaller than the box lead everyone to believe. Chip thought it was as big as a football, but it was more along the size of an emu egg.    The Hatchimal’s eyes lit up and started talking which startled Chip. The guest stroke the egg and it starts lighting up and breathing.    Cern reads off the play by play for the color of the eyes as they change. Each color eye means do a different activity to the egg.    The egg gets rubbed, patted and stroked whilst it makes noises and talks. The egg receives some spankings.   Chip read that some Hatchimals are cursing in the kids room and he wants one.    Stage 1: Nature the egg. The eggs eye color changes which requires different actions.  Stage 2: Hatching the egg. This thing starts to peck out of its shell.    Chip does some Google stuff and finds out that a toddler is between 12 months and 36 months.   The Hatchimal pecks! The excitement grows in the room. It keeps flashing, then it will start pecking.   Zach claims that the Hatchimal is speaking in Spanish. The pecking starts fast and furious.   The shells is still not cracked, despite numerous pecking sounds.   Chip and Cern are just loaded with stroking jokes about their wives.    Chip and Cern give the egg a few strokes and it starts poking through.    The dog, Ari is very freaked out by the hatching egg.    The beak is green according to early reports by Zach.    Cern gets pulled away for a bathroom emergency as the Hatchimal keeps pecking its way though the egg.   The ground crew gives it 75% cracked.    The Hatchimal has fallen asleep and is snoring.   Chip and Cern examines the broken shell. It is a weird foam material, but the shell is very realistic.    The Hatchimal keeps trying to go back to sleep, but the ground crew is keeping the stroking up.    Chip and Cern get a purple color call out from the ground crew. They can see through the broken shell pieces. We are at 90% hatched.    Zach took the top of the egg off. Chip and Cern are taking a look at it. There was some wheel on the  inside that helps it spin around.    Cern reads the instructions to see how to take this thing out.   The final hatched being is a dark purple, almost plum, Draggles.    Looks like a Jurassic Park egg when the t rex hatched.   The Hatchimal thinks it is still in the shell and trying to peck out.    Now that the Draggle has hatched you can interact with it in different ways.    It sings it happy birthday song.    Chip and Cern have had their first live birth on the podcast.    The kids had a lot of fun hatching the eggs.    Chip and Cern will recommend the Hatchimal as a great gift or just fun night with the family.    Do you get a Hatchimal for the holidays? • Super Bowl LI Preview
Chip and Cern bring on Stat Boy Dana to talk all things Super Bowl LI. How did the playoffs shake up? What is the spread on the big game and other strange bets you can take on the Super Bowl. Also why is Cern such a huge Tom Brady fan? All these questions answered and more on this episode of the Chip and Cern Show.   Super Bowl LI or 51 for the nonRomans is happening on Feb 5th, 2017 and Chip and Cern have your preview show ready to rock! Cern shows up to the podcast recording with his Tom Brady Under Armor shoes on which sets the tone for his excitement level.    Cern clears the record on air. 49ers are Cern’s #1 hated team followed by the Pats.    Chip struggled over some words describing the Seahawks’ game against the Falcons.    The Wildcard went very predictably, but Dana wanted the Giants to go a bit further because he had a cool $50 on the Football Giants winning the Super Bowl. The Divisional round went a bit better and there was a few really solid games in there.    Dana was drinking a nice 12 pack of Fat Tire which he won from a bet with Cern about the Rams v 9ers games.    Joe got some squares set up for the big game. Dana bought the max 5 squares, Chip bought 2 for himself and 2 for his wife. Joe bought 5. Footballs squares is a fun and cheap way to “bet” on the game that helps you pay attention and have something investing in the game.    Heads up who WINS:   Dana: FALCONS Cern: FALCONS Chip: FALCONS Joe (despite not being on the phone): FALCONS   Here is Cern’s wall paper for his work computer.      The line on the game is New England -3. So they have to win by 3.5 points. The over/under is 59 points.    Dana loves the 2 TD bets and the odds are pretty good. Cern pulled the odds for the beginning of the year and the Falcons were a 40:1 odds and the Pats were 8:1 odds. For the 2018 season the Browns and 49ers are 300:1 odds to win the Super Bowl in 2018.    Lady Gaga has a few prop bets for her Halftime Show. What hair color will she have? What song will she sing first? Will she preform on the roof? Will she expose her titty or beaver? If you want action on these place your abets now!   Super Bowl Halftime Show, do you HAVE to watch? Depends if you like the performer, but most of the Chip and Cern Show is going outside to throw around the football.   For Super Bowls everyone would go to Tony’s house and start drinking around 11am playing Wii. By the time the game started Cern and Chip would be tossed already. That would always lead to a high level of shenanigans before, during and after the game.    The podcast gets a bit distracted and Chip and Cern relive a few really drunk outing with the boys. 4th of July, Super Bowl and any other day that ends in a Y was a good excuse to tie one on.    Cern bets Dana and Chip a 6 pack that the game will cover the over.    Who do you have winning the Super Bowl? • Atmospheric River
In Northern California there is a river in the sky that is getting all the news channels worked up! Chip is going to build his own ark to get passed this storm and Cern isn’t sure he can carry on. Hear some silly news clips that are over hypes only to fail to deliver, Chip and Cern’s take on the news and their “hype machine” style of “news” and more.   An atmospheric river is a narrow corridor or filament of concentrated moisture in the atmosphere. Atmospheric rivers consist of narrow bands of enhanced water vapor transport, typically along the boundaries between large areas of divergent surface air flow, including some frontal zones in association with extratropical cyclones that form over the oceans.   Basically it is raining decently and the news channels are all over it. Northern California has the reputation for being really soft about weather. When it hits 30 degrees people are losing their minds about how cold it is. This is how the local news is all about this atmospheric river.    There was a drought, so people are really freaking out about a little rain. Chip’s wife had turned on the news and Chip was triggered by what was going on. News folk love weather cause they get to bust out their news channel branded outerwear and full anti rain outfits.    Chip’s local news brought up the fact that a stick was floating down the river. They cut back to the station and people were commenting on how dangerous it was that the stick was coming down the river.   Cern grabbed some clips about some news channels over reporting the news. In LA the news lady has full hooded rain jacket, rain pants, and boots on. She has her hood on and said “the rain has died off” and it was not raining at all. She comments about “light puddling"     http://ktla.com/2017/01/07/state-of-panic-grips-northern-california-as-atmospheric-river-moves-in-widespread-flooding-heavy-snow-expected/
Chip and Cern review another clip from a local channel and they mention under their breathe about 1-3 inches of rain.    http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2016/12/14/winter-storm-prompting-watches-and-warnings-in-sacramento-area/
This is one of Chip’s favorite clips from #fakenews was a weather lady who was in a canoe and a few people walked in front of her shot and the water barely was kicked up above their ankles.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgm3_jzcNm4
Chip and Cern take a wild tangent pondering the difference between a vibrator and a dildo. They also brought up The Cannon dildo which is as big as a football or something.    Chip and Cern now have INSTAGRAM! • [platinum] Elemental Supply Co.
Chip and Cern get into their first collaboration! The boys are happy to be partnering with Elemental Supply Co. The element that Chip and Cern have is Platinum.    You might be asking, “Chip and Cern what is Elemental Supply Co?”   Well glad you asked! Elemental Supply Co is a series of collaborative collections inspired by the periodic table. Each collection is inspired by a different element and features the work of a different artist/maker. I started @elementalsupplyco because I wanted a clean slate to explore new visual design styles, share the work of my peers, and experiment with new products. Working in separate collections gives us the freedom to create an eclectic mix of looks while still staying consistent to one underlying theme. And, since elements make up literally everything in the universe, the end results of each collection could be anything- from paper goods to fashion accessories to podcasts to baked confections... the possibilities are endless.    Here is where to find Elemental Supply Co on the internet: Elementalsupply.com instagram.com/elementalsupply twitter.com/elementalsupply pinterest.com/elementalsupply facebook.com/elementalsupply https://www.etsy.com/shop/ElementalSupplyCo   Chip and Cern know all about platinum, but for those of you who don’t here is some more info from Wikipedia:   "Platinum is a chemical element with symbol Pt and atomic number 78. It is dense, malleable, ductile, highly unreactive, precious, gray-white transition metal. Its name is derived from the Spanish term platina, translated into "little silver".[3][4]

Platinum is used in catalytic converters, laboratory equipment, electrical contacts and electrodes, platinum resistance thermometers, dentistry equipment, and jewelry. Being a heavy metal, it leads to health issues upon exposure to its salts; but due to its corrosion resistance, metallic platinum has not been linked to adverse health effects.[5]Compounds containing platinum, such as cisplatin, oxaliplatin and carboplatin, are applied in chemotherapy against certain types of cancer.[6]

Platinum is a member of the platinum group of elements and group 10 of the periodic table of elements. It has six naturally occurring isotopes. It is one of the rarer elements in Earth's crust with an average abundance of approximately 5 μg/kg. It occurs in some nickel and copper ores along with some native deposits, mostly in South Africa, which accounts for 80% of the world production. Because of its scarcity in Earth's crust, only a few hundred tonnes are produced annually, and given its important uses, it is highly valuable and is a major precious metal commodity.

Platinum is one of the least reactive metals. It has remarkable resistance to corrosion, even at high temperatures, and is therefore considered a noble metal. Consequently, platinum is often found chemically uncombined as native platinum. Because it occurs naturally in the alluvial sands of various rivers, it was first used by pre-Columbian South American natives to produce artifacts. It was referenced in European writings as early as 16th century, but it was not until Antonio de Ulloa published a report on a new metal of Colombian origin in 1748 that it began to be investigated by scientists.”

The Chip and Cern take on this element revolves around music. When an album is “certified platinum” it means it has sold 1 million units. We took that a bit further and are making a playlist from the Top 20 Platinum Records of all time.

Life in the fast lane- EAGLES - HOTEL CALIFORNIA   10. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me- ELTON JOHN - GREATEST HITS    Here is the final collaborative Spotify Playlist with Elemental Supply for your streaming pleasure:   https://play.spotify.com/user/sylbie/playlist/03EpEAwWDVEJXCs3EWmYMH   Here is some thoughts on why Elemental Supply Co chose the songs they did:   “Take It Easy” by The Eagles off of Their Greatest Hits 1971 - 1975 I learned how to do the Electric Slide in 6th grade P.E. The song they had us learn it to was “Take It Easy” by The Eagles. Up until that point, I thought The Eagles were the artists behind the one-hit wonder “Hotel California.” So, for opening my eyes to about a million other Eagles songs, this song will always have a special place in my heart.   “Dear Prudence” by The Beatles off of The Beatles My family and I took a lot of road trips. We listened to a lot of The Beatles in our van on those long drives. I’m the youngest of 3 (spanning an 8 year age difference), so we were always each in pretty different stages of life, but we all seemed pretty content with The Beatles. Obviously my parents were pretty happy about it too. I think that means that this music is truly timeless!   “Man! I feel like a woman!” by Shania Twain off of Come on Over From the opening riff to basically every second after that, this song is deliciously, unapologetically kitsch in the best of ways. I was 9 years old when it was released so it’s probably one of the first songs about female empowerment that I ever encountered. (Also pretty sure this song was in heavy rotation during those middle school line dance sessions.)    “Long Time” by Boston off of Boston In high school I drove a second-hand 1989 Mustang. Stick shift. Hatchback. Navy blue with a powder blue stripe. It sounds a lot cooler than it was. It had a 4-cylinder engine and would shake violently if I pushed it above 70mph. Nothing made me feel cooler than listening to ‘authentic rock n roll’ while cruising in my ‘stang. I was trying very hard to impress my older brother and his friends. I was a huge dork.   “You Learn” by Alanis Morissette off of Jagged Little Pill Such a groundbreakingly angsty artist. This album came out when she was 21 years old! I can’t get over that. It’s full of so much life experience and feeeeeeeeelings. ...   Where did we go wrong? Too much of the Eagles? • MLB Winter Meetings
Welcome, 2017! Chip and Cern are back and better than ever in 2017. Right out of the gate they bring in Stat Boy Dana for his insights on the MLB Winter Meetings. Who is still a free agent and what big moves have been made?   The MLB theme song plays and brings cheer to Chip and Cern. Chip cannot say midst very well, but luckily Cern is there to help. Dana is the first phone guest of the Chip and Cern Show, what a massive accomplishment by Stat Boy Dana.    The big theme of the 2017 MLB Winter Meetings is closers. Chapman, Melancon, Wade Davis and Jensen.    Dana really hates Bryce Harper and Chip loves him so that always makes for jabbing. The San Francisco Giants set a record for most blown save with close to 30 saves and STILL make the playoffs. Chip, Cern, and Dana are all happy the Giants passed on the 100+ mph throwing Chapman. Chip still is struggling over pronouncing Melancon’s last name.   Joe gets roasted early this podcast and Dana is on his stats, as per usual.    Chip saw a report that they are going to offer prospects entering the MLB draft an optional MRI on their throwing arms to ease concerns about needing Tommy John surgery. Chip says he might get a Tommy John surgery cause he has been tugging his pud a bunch and could make a comeback.    Chip and Cern start looking at Justin Turner calling him “The Ugliest MLB Player of 2017” and then Chip starts looking on MLB wives website. Chip give the free plug to http://www.playerwives.com/. His wife is super model hot and Turner just has a fiery red beard and long locks. Chip then takes a peek at all the player’s wives and it takes a somber turn when Chip discover’s John Lackey’s wife has died a few years ago.    Chip seems to be obsessed with half arm pitchers.    Chip and Dana bet on the fact that Bryce Harper will win one MVP award. Chip will win $20 from Dana if Harper wins one regular season MVP award. Cern sides with Chip on who has the advantage of this bet between Chip and Dana.    Dana’s distain for Harper rears it’s head in this podcast.    Dana says the Giants scored a B+ in the Winter Meetings. He says they are still missing a big bat. Chip and Cern agree on that front.    Cern loves the Crazy Crab Sandwich at AT&T Park which will run you about $40 bucks with a beer. He will then eat this damn sandwich in about 2 bites, so if you get the chance to watch Cern eat one you are really missing out.    Chip recalls a story of when he was heckling Charlie Blackman on the Rockies by yelling his shitty tweets back at him.    Jose Bautista had some shitty stats for thinking he is all about himself and that he is worth so much coin.    Chip, Cern, and Dana just continue to speculate on people that the Giants should sign this off season.    Chip and Cern break into Wilford Brimley impressions because of some weird umpire mustache tangent.    Joe doesn’t like JP Howell. Dana informs Chip and Cern that Joe played Jr. College baseball with Howell and that is why he doesn’t like him. Then Joe proceeds to get ROASTED for the next few mins.   The Braves signed a 43-year-old Bartolo Colon, who Chip suggest has a big, thick cock which is how he got the name “Big Sexy.”   How did your team fair in the Winter Meetings? Let us know on social media.    Chip and Cern are excited about the cool collaboration with Elemental Supply Co.    Be sure to spread the word around and tell your friends about the Chip and Cern Show. • 2016 Year in Review
Chip and Cern are excited about cool collaboration with Elemental Supply Co in Jan, so keep an eye out for that!     Well 2016 really fucking sucked. Between the worst election in US history and hella celeb deaths. In between this recording and release two more celebs have died. Carrie Fischer and Debbie Reynolds have kicked the bucket in late December. Also RIP Harambe of course.   2016 personally for Chip and Cern was a good year. New house, good jobs, health, etc so that is good. Chip is quick to point out that the Giants didn’t make the playoffs again.   Chip tangents into how homo erotic “Rough Boys” by Peter Townsend is.    Celebs that died in 2016:   Pat Harrington Jr. David Bowie René Angélil Alan Rickman Dan Haggerty Glenn Frey Abe Vigoda Paul Kantner Joe Alaskey Maurice White Dave Mirra Edgar Mitchell Vanity Antonin Scalia George Gaynes Boutros Boutros-Ghali Angela "Big Ang" Raiola Harper Lee Umberto Eco Sonny James Tony Burton George Kennedy Lee Reherman Joey Feek Pat Conroy Nancy Reagan George Martin Keith Emerson Frank Sinatra Jr Bob Ebeling Phife Dawg Rob Ford Joe Garagiola Garry Shandling Jim Harrison Mother Mary Angelica Patty Duke Erik Bauersfeld Merle Haggard David Gest Doris Roberts Les Waas Chyna Prince Michelle McNamara Isabelle Diner Papa Wemba Billy Paul Afeni Shakur Davis Jane Little Emilio Navaira Guy Clark Morley Safer Alan Young Nick Menza Muhammad Ali Kimbo Slice Theresa Saldana Gordie Howe Christina Grimmie Ron Lester Anton Yelchin Ralph Stanley Bernie Worrell Bill Cunningham Alvin Toffler Scotty Moore Pat Summitt Elie Wiesel Michael Cimino Noel Neill Abbas Kiarostami Garry Marshall Mark Takai Rev.
