The BYU Cougars are continuing their process to replace Kentucky Wildcats coach Mark Pope and Jake Hatch believes one of Pope's former assistants is the ideal candidate to replace him in Chris Burgess, who checks every conceivable box that the BYU men's basketball program could have on their wishlist outside of his not having head coaching experience.

Jake then talked about the addition fo Phoenix Suns associate head coach Kevin Young to the BYU basketball search even though he doesn't completely understand why a career NBA assistant coach would want to take a job at Brigham Young University (BYU), even though the upside for Tom Holmoe and BYU athletics is readily apparent.

Finally, the show wrapped up with a celebration of the open of the NCAA Transfer Portal for college football as the BYU football program will examine their portal exits and consider what options are in the transfer portal that they can bring in as they seek to bolster or upgrade a trio of key positions going into year two of play in the Big 12 Conference this fall.
