When I met Heath Hyatt at SHOT show a few weeks ago, I knew I needed him on the show. Heath is a fellow podaster with his show. The Journey on Houndsman XP https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/houndsman-xp-sportsmens-empire/id1462431615

He is a dedicted and talented dog trainer. His passion is running bears with hounds. But Heath is also a K9 Trainer for law enforcement. This is a fascinating discussion about dogs and hounds. Throughout the discussion I was reminded of the poem by Francis Thompson where he writes;

"As the hound follows the hare, never ceasing in its running, ever drawing nearer in the chase, with unhurrying and imperturbed pace, so does God follow the fleeing soul by His Divine grace."

I think you will enjoy this episode.

Truth in Nature Outdoors, (www.truthinnature.org) is a ministry that is focused on helping fatherless boys with positive male mentors. Began in 2009 by Jeff Davis of Dallas, Georgia. Davis felt a calling to help boys who were without a father. His life was shattered when his parents divorced and he lost his male role model, his wife suffered a similar situation when her father died when she was twelve years old. They recognized a need for boys to have a positive male role model and Truth in Nature Outdoors was formed.

Today, they have 11 chapters across the nation and are helping hundreds of boys with positive male mentors. By using the outdoors to draw these young boys ages 11-18, they introduce them to outdoor activities and also the gospel. Every session includes time to discuss the love of Christ and how he can change their lives.

Whether they are building fires, archery lessons, or learning how to be a gentleman in today's world, Truth in Nature Outdoors takes these boys and young men and shows them how Godly men are to behave and how they can have positive male mentors in their lives.

We discuss how to overcome the shame and seek help and where to get the help you need to defeat one of Satan's most effective method of confusion. Unchained Leaders is a necessary tool that God is using to overcome the bounds of this issue.

When God made the decision to enter into Mary's womb, it was no small undertaking. He came as a man to show us how we are to live our lives, how we are to treat one another and how we should be as those who carry the image of his father. He also came to prepare us a place, to bear the wages of sin, and to cleanes us from our sinful ways. This season we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ. Who came into the world as the son of God from the virgin Mary. It is no small wonder, and something humanity will celebrate. Join Pastor Jon Goodwin and I as we discuss the mystery of God becoming Man.

As the deer season is winding down in much of the country, hunters with tags still not punched are looking for late season opportunities. This week, Chris Taylor and I sit down and discuss some late season hunting tactics for whitetails.

Mature bucks are usually run down after the rut and only one thing is on their mind. That is food. Finding good reliable food sources is critical for getting a late season buck. We discuss food plots, mast crops, and more as we bring the season to a close.
