In the last days, the Bible teaches that dreams and visions will increase, so we should expect God to speak in this way and intentionally steward what He reveals. A practical step is to write down significant dreams immediately, allowing time to discern patterns and meaning through prayer and reflection. At the same time, when others share dreams or words about us, we should remain open but discerning—listening carefully, receiving what aligns with what God is already speaking to us, and setting aside what does not resonate. Above all, every dream or vision must be filtered through Scripture, our unchanging foundation, because God will never contradict His Word. Living in this balance—expectant yet anchored—keeps us spiritually steady and wise.

A tricky trap is allowing the vision God gave you to become your god. When this occurs, you become obsessed with the vision, which leads to stress and anxiousness. Also the vision becomes unsuccessful and destructive to your life. If you continue in this way, at some point, God will remove the anointing for the vision from you.
