Three and a half decades after the release of MAD MAX, director George Miller returned to the franchise that put him on the map with MAD MAX: FURY ROAD.
This time around, Tom Hardy steps into the role of Max, replacing original star Mel Gibson, in a film that many called one of the greatest action films of all time, one of the greatest films of 2015 and one of the greatest films of the 2010s. But its journey to the big screen was a long one, spanning nearly 25 years and many, many setbacks.
