In this episode, executive coach and a triple-certified Enneagram teacher, Vanessa Fernandez, walks through all nine Enneagram types and explains how insights from this ancient personality typing tool can help anyone be better at leading others.
There’s often a gap between how we think we’re coming across and how our communication is actually being received. (For example you think you’re being helpful but other people feel you’re micromanaging and hovering). Vanessa explains how the Enneagram can help us narrow that gap and thus be a more effective leader.

Okay, so this episode’s title isn’t technically correct—I’m not part of the “Baby Boom” generation, I’m Gen X (born between 1965 - 1980). But boy did I feel like a Boomer as I interviewed two students aged 19 and 18 respectively, about blockchain, DAOs, and NFTs.
Regardless of your age, it’s tempting to be skeptical of new technology and new ideas. It can take effort to stay open and curious, but it’s worth the effort—especially when the next generation aspires to use technology to improve the world.
My guests are Madison Adams, age 19, and Oliver Yehlik 18. Madison is the Co-founder of the Dream DAO, which trains Gen Z to use web3 to change the world. Oliver is a student participant in the Dream DAO.
Tim Schurrer spent almost a decade of his career as the right-hand man of Donald Miller. He helped launch two brands—StoryBrand and Business Made Simple—and built a $16 million dollar company. Now Tim is sharing secrets…about what real success really is.
In this interview, we talk about the core message of his new book “The Secret Society of Success” and Tim's mission to help people escape the spotlight mindset. Tim challenges us to reevaluate our definition of success and learn a new, freer way to go about achieving it.
