Betsy began her fertility journey in 2016, pursued multiple egg retrievals with no viable embryos, and ultimately discovered embryo donation in her mid-40s. She walks us through how she found a matchmaker, navigated the legal and counseling steps, traveled for transfers, and became a mother as a solo parent at the age of 48.

We talk honestly about grief and letting go, what it’s like to be an “older mom,” the practical logistics (lawyers, transfer costs, embryo transport), meeting her embryo donor, and the sense of peace and fierce love she feels now.
