We touch on our Friday night beers that we put on for all our listeners, and some exciting guests lined up—so stay tuned for a teaser of what’s to come!
Oh, and by the way, we might have moved the baby’s induce date because of an upcoming fishing comp. Priorities, right? Burrinjuck Teams comp is just two weeks away, and we can’t wait. Let’s get into it
Welcome back to Cod Tales, the only podcast where the fish are never the weirdest part of the story!
Picture this: It's Thursday night, Marto's birthday bash. You turn up for a casual beer, expecting a quiet one-yeah right! Lawso, in prime form, decides to give the crowd a lap dance and bam-busted ankle.
Zero sleep later, we're French kissing the fish goodbye in pre-fish, barely holding it together for the FFC, we charged into comp day like it was your best mates mum
Back into it like champs, it's Sunday, and The Joker is our trusty vessel with an old faithful 2-D sonar to guide us.
What could go wrong?
Grab a drink, settle in, and let's dive into the chaos!
Welcome to another episode of the Codtales podcast where fishing trips turn into legendary tales! Today, we've got an absolute cracker of a guest—Aaron Lawson, or as we call him, "Lawso."
From hardcore fishing tournaments to laid-back social trips, Lawso's seen it all. We'll be diving into some of our funniest fishing adventures, both salt and freshwater, swapping stories about those moments that stick with us long after the fish are gone. But it’s not all about the catch—fishing’s also a lifeline for mental health, and we’ll be sharing what it means to us as fishermen.
So pull up a stump and turn your listening gear on to hear the tales of Lawso, DONGN and his mascot.
Our latest adventure was one for the books! From wild nights at Camp Chaos, we pushed through to find the fish we needed in the last 20 minutes but fell short.
Huge thanks to the Zerew brothers for lending their boat!
The mascot even made an appearance, while Lawso kept things lively, feeding the birds and being our daily alarm clock by spewing breakfast. And let’s just say the Redfin were more of a challenge than we expected. Finishing off the Cod Season with a 103cm!
Onto the 2-day river drift, we covered 30kms, dropping some fish before finding our groove. Nick went all in, soaked on the first rapid, while Dane came through with a mid-river cook-up. We pulled off a (possible) legendary move, hooking a lure straight out of a fish’s mouth! And one 55cm catch felt like a million bucks. A summer drift is definitely on the cards. Stay tuned for more on the next Codtales episode. 🎙️
