I have found in working with hundreds of parents in the recruiting process that they want so badly to see their athlete get recruited. Sometimes nerves get the best of us and we don't realize how we might be coming across. Today's podcast will hopefully identify some areas to be aware of when your athletes starts talking with college coaches and going on visits.
Don't forget to join us for JH$50 which ends soon or for our webinar on June 1. You can find information on my Instagram at jhicksconsulting We would love to have you.
Most athletes I believe choose a team and hope it is for all 4 - 5 years of college, however I am working with many gymnasts that are in the Portal or changing their verbal commitment. The NCAA is making it easier on the athlete to switch teams, but this is not always ideal.
It is important to think through the pros and cons. For some it is certainly a change that needs to happen and it is becoming more common. I share 10 reasons why this often happens and how we as advisors typically help in these difficult situations.
