Come Follow Me: Mental Health Insights with Dr. David T. Morgan episodes

  • Come Follow Me: Mental Health Insights: Season Three, Week Twenty-Four (6/10/24 to 6/16/24)

In this episode we’ll talk about Alma chapters five through seven. We’ll review how Alma relinquished his position as chief judge so he could devote himself fully to ministering to church members. We’ll talk about how this was a good example of setting boundaries, and how setting boundaries can help our personal progress. We’ll also review how the process of change is one of ups and downs, improvement and backsliding. The more we learn to expect the vacillating nature of change, the better equipped we are to do it.

In this episode we’ll talk about Mosiah chapters twenty-five through twenty-eight. We’ll focus mostly on the story of Alma the Younger and the sons of Mosiah. We’ll review how some people get frustrated with their own protracted change process, when they read about people like Alma the Younger who seem to have changed instantly. We’ll look at details that show how the change that Alma and his friends went through was long and arduous, just like the change we all go through. We’ll review the benefits of enduring the long, difficult roads.

About Come Follow Me: Mental Health Insights with Dr. David T. Morgan

From the publisher's feed

From 2021 to 2025 I recorded a weekly, Come, Follow Me podcast. All episodes are still live. Earlier seasons may have slight variations between previous weekly reading assignments and updated weekly reading assignments, as the church has made adjustments to these from time to time. However, they will line up more or less accurately for the most part.
