Disputes about energy provider are up 27 percent on the previous year according to an official complaints service. Utilities Disputes has recieved 4,468 complaints up about 1,000 on the 2021-2022 year. Last night Checkpoint brought you the stories of some Nau Mai Rā customers concerned their weekly power bills had in some cases tripled with no explanation. Some were also having trouble reaching customer service to try and sort things out. The company told us it was working on doubling its customer service team to deal with the increased demand.
