When you decide to come out as gay a lot of people have preconceived notions about what you need to do or believe in or people you should hang out with. However, should being gay define your life, and do you need to be a part of the gay community? I find that more and more people struggle with where they fit in and where their group of people is. At the end of the day, your sexuality should matter as much as what flavor of ice cream you like. You should always be you regardless of what box society tries to put you in.
