Nuzzle was a high energy indie rock band from Santa Cruz, adjacent to the Gravity Records and K/Kill Rock Stars west coast scenes of the 90s. Follow For Now, their 1995 record has been reissued by Solid Brass Records a remix and remaster! We get into the history of Nuzzle, Yo-Yo A Go-Go, Junk of Myth, and a little bit of the Dying Californian. As well as revisiting songs, remixing and remastering records without the pressure of immediately going on tour, bay area punk rock history, George Chen, oh yeah and Conan's first van being one of Nuzzle's old vans.

Season to Risk is a legendary band, formed in 1989. They predated the indie gold rush, put out two records on Columbia, toured hard with a "who's who" of 90s rock, Built their own studio (destroyed by a flash flood) and continued on making interesting and unique records. In 2025 they released 1-800-Meltdown, a collection of rare and unreleased songs, covers, experiments, demos and more. They are back and touring, to the delight of all. Also, revealed on the show: A reissue of In a Perfect World for record store day! All of this, the legendary van flip of 1997. The origin of Record Bar, Steve's venue in Kansas city. Sie Lieben Maschinen (with Josh Newton and Chris Bolig), Roman Numerals, Violenteer, a detailed accounting of the Season To Risk's history and a whole heck of a lot more. The year is 2025 an the band Silkworm is BACK! This line-up includes early member Joel RL Phelps, who wrote and played on the first three records, but is not as known to people who knew SKWM as a three piece. After the tragic death of drummer Michael Dahlquist in 2005 Silkworm as a band was no more. So let's hear about what these shows entail, how they came about and how it all fits together, shall we? Couldn't You Wait documentary, legacy of the band, growing as musicians, muscle memory, Missoula to Seattle to Chicago, the eras and what songs to play, a quick rundown of the selected Silkworm discography. etc. Tim has been on the show a few times (including a song-by-song deep dive on Firewater) and is always wonderful. The Creative Asylum is Daniel House's brand new podcast, a 1:1 interview show exploring the minds & imaginations of people living authentic, creative lives. He may be new to podcasting, but Daniel House has the CV. You may recognize him from his old band Skin Yard with Jack Endino that slightly predate that whole 1990s gold rush. Nirvana opened for them, they had crossover membership with Soundgarden (Matt Cameron!) and put some awesome records. He also operated CZ Records for years, home of the Deep Six comp and later putting out records by the Gits, Silkworm, Built to Spill, 7 Year Bitch and many others. We walk through all of that as well as potential future recording plans and many other things.
