Comparing yourself to validate your worth leads to deep insecurity...which is a problem because we're conditioned to compare our bodies against cultural beauty standards and other women. Instead of telling you to "stop comparing" I want to offer context for comparison and what types of comparisons are interesting to humans...so you understand why you're drawn to compare - and eventually you can redirect your thoughts to more interesting topics.

Motivation to always "do more" and "be better" is actually what's fueling the sense that you're not enough the way you are. Don't get me wrong, I'm very driven - but now it comes from a place of experimenting, seeing what I'm capable of, etc. rather than trying to prove myself and get validation because of what I've done. The promise of living in a beautiful body distracts us from the day in front of us. Our life becomes about obsessing, comparing, and waiting around for our bodies to look "better". When you look back on your life, you won't be happy that you stayed thin or that you delayed wrinkles until your 50's. You'll be happy that you enjoyed every piece of pizza you decided to eat. You'll be happy you didn't let fear stop you from doing what mattered. You'll be happy you were part of something bigger than yourself. And we don't get that chance until we stop letting ourselves get distracted and depressed by comparing our bodies to unrealistic beauty standards.
