Ep. 78 Join Coach Kelly Marie as she confronts her anxiety around the thought of taking her bike out for a ride for the first time in over a year. This powerful episode holds nothing back as she deals with the emotional and physical stress associated with her anxiety. Learn how to implement the tools and ask for the help you need.
My doctor cleared me to ride my bike after back surgery, but my anxiety has kept me from going on a ride around the block! I'm physically healthy enough to take a bike ride, but mentally I'm paralyzed. It's time to implement the tools. Step one is acknowledging the symptoms.
Anxiety, the body’s response to stress, is how your body alerts you to threats and helps you get ready to deal with them.
The autonomic nervous system produces your fight-or-flight response, which is designed to help you defend yourself or run away from danger. When you are under stress or anxious, this system kicks into action, and physical symptoms can appear — headaches, nausea, shortness of breath, shakiness, or stomach pain.
