Chris talks with Bill Northey who was Secretary of Agriculture of Iowa from 2007-2018, he also served as U.S. Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation from 2017-2021. Currently Bill works as a conservation sustainability consultant. Chris asks Bill to talk about the importance of how potential new legislation with regard to carbon credits may directly affect farmers. Additionally they talk about the importance of getting started on some conservation activities on your farm in order to be ready for some of the changes coming our way in future farm bill legislation.
