Hello everyone - welcome to the 6th conversation of Conversations with Harriet.
This episode is a little bit different.
It is the first episode in the relax and learn series. I am a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist, and the foundation of my practice is relaxation - so... I thought it would be cool to do an educational yet relaxing style episode.
The history of hypnosis and hypnotherapy is wild. It's very complex and there's a lot of different theories. Which makes sense to why in today's world there is a skewed idea of what hypnosis actually is.
I start with the earliest mention of hypnosis, and provide a brief run down up until the 20th century - so there will be a part II if you want to hear the history beyond the 1900's.
Find a comfortable spot, absorb and enjoy.
