Pastor Chris Winans discusses Ecclesiastes 6:12 to 7:12 this week, continuing our series in the book of Ecclesiastes called “At The End of the Day”. Pastor Winans unpacks what the original writers may have meant saying things like “It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting” and “Sorrow is better than laughter”.

Week 5 of our series discusses the revelation by Copernicus that the Earth is not the center of our universe, and how this radical idea is analogous to modern day culture relating to Christianity. Pastor Chris Winans challenges us to forge our identities in Jesus Christ, why we should do so and how we can.

Pastor Chris continues our series in Ecclesiastes, this week discussing the concept of Justice as it relates to the scriptures and the very nature of God. Trying to be a good person, where more goods things out weigh the bad things is not Christianity, rather, Christ paid for everything that is not holy so we can be reconciled to God.

Continuing our series in Ecclesiastes, Pastor Chris Winans discusses anxiety and control this week, and the continuing providence of God throughout our lives- both the good times and the bad. Ultimately it's all up to Christ, and the sovereignty of God is a soft pillow for anxious hearts.

Pastor Chris Winans continues our series in Ecclesiastes, this week focusing on satisfaction and fulfillment. Only Jesus satisfies. The question isn't, do you know it? The question is, are you living it? If I was to follow you around, if you were to follow me around, what would you say at the end of the day satisfies me? At the end of the day satisfies you? Only you can really answer that.

Pastor Matt Grimm starts our new series on the book of Ecclesiastes called “At The End of The Day”.
This sermon introduces a new series on the book of Ecclesiastes titled "At the End of the Day." Pastor Matt explores the meaning of the Hebrew word *hevel* (translated as "vanity"), explaining that it refers to a "vapor" or "mist"—something that is real and visible but impossible to grasp or control.
The core message is that because life under the sun is elusive, humans must stop turning God's good gifts (such as work, family, and health) into idols and instead place their ultimate trust in God alone. The preacher analyzes this elusiveness through three movements:
1. **The Unending World:** The world continues long after individuals pass away, exposing the illusion of human indispensability. Pastor Matt notes that while we are not the center of the universe, we are held by an eternal God.
2. **The Unrelenting World:** The repetitive cycles of nature and daily life expose the illusion that we can "finally get ahead" through constant achievement. Pastor Matt points to Christ as the source of true rest for weary souls.
3 **The Unfulfilling World:** Human desires are never fully satisfied by material things or experiences, exposing the illusion that achievement brings contentment. Pastor Matt argues that our restless hearts were made for God, not for the things of this world.
The discussion concludes by presenting the Gospel: while Ecclesiastes highlights the futility of life "under the sun," Jesus entered that fleeting existence, faced death, and rose again to offer something lasting.

Pastor Chris Winans teaches Week 4 of Wisdom’s Warnings, and discusses The Scoffer as mentioned in the book of Proverbs chapter 12 ver 2, and chapter 21 verse 24. The Scoffer is defined by arrogant pride, mocking, anger and the self focused delusion hat they know everything- so there is no need to heed wisdom’s call. We can all find ourselves having these tendencies, especially with social media and topics we are passionate about.
