Are the kids retaining the teaching? Are you just playing with kids anxiety?
Standardized testing isn't a great measurement tool in my opinion.
Standardized testing has been a significant part of the American education framework, but it does not meet the diverse needs of our children. From its rigid approach to the stress it generates, the inequities it reinforces, and its preference for memorization, standardized testing often falls short.
As we move forward, it is vital to advocate for a more tailored and equitable educational journey. This approach should celebrate creativity, critical thinking, and each student’s strengths. By challenging the reliance on standardized testing, we can foster a brighter future for our children—one that encourages a love of learning and prepares them for success in an ever-changing world.

If we want kids that are self starters, we have to give them the space to start themselves. We cannot be in a household, where we wash all their clothes, clean their bathroom all the time, and wash the dishes all the time or go in their rooms to clean it up. Kids become better adults when they grow up with structure and rules in a standard. As parents, before a child can lead outside of the home, we have to create spaces for them to be leaders in the Home. And that's what today's episode is about.

If the kids can't read, what will they do in life? If the kids can't read, where would they go? If the kids can read, how would they be able to explain things that are happening to them or the things that they want? If the kids can't read how far will their imaginations go? If the kids cannot read how high will their confidence get?
There is no reason why as parents we have a household full of objects, things and directions in our children cannot read, there's no reason why a child can make it to middle school and still cannot read. There is no reason why there are graduating high school kids who will go into the workforce behind on reading.
As an adult, I work with 30+ people who struggle with reading and comprehension and it starts in the classroom and our homes. Welcome to Cozy Womb podcast.

The kids today are falling behind in academics for many reasons, in this episode I explain my educational background and my current concerns for kids. The work place is frustrating today due to people not mastering the basics in American education.
We can be better and these are my thoughts.

Just the trailer... See yall in Sept.
In today’s busy society, parenting often feels overwhelming due to the constant stream of unsolicited advice and opinions from family and friends. Social Media, magazines and other podcasts...
One effective approach that has gained popularity is "no contact parenting." This method involves reducing or eliminating interactions with individuals whose negativity harms the family dynamic. Although it may sound distant, embracing this strategy can lead to a happier and more harmonious family life.
What I discussed:
Understanding No Contact Parenting
Recognizing Toxic Influences
What Are Benefits of Embracing No Contact Parenting?
Steps to Implement No Contact Parenting
Make Clear Boundaries
Communicate Your Choices
Create a Support System
Stay Committed
Reflect and Adjust
Overcoming Challenges
Shaping a Healthier Family Future
Thank you so much for another great season, thats a wrap. Check yall in August.

Welcome Back to Cozy Womb podcast, season 23 will begin mid July !!!
The focus this season is on : The Idea of What I would Do If I Had A Son...
Before I had…
Well, I did... and it was another girl, completely different personality. Now they are 9 and 12.. I removed my tubes because I'm still single and unmarried. Two kids and experiencing single parent living... I don't need a third single parent experience... although there is still a 1% chance... my God wouldn't do me like that... I hope not.
Nonetheless, I always wanted to see the boy version of me... I wanted to put my son up on game about style, manners, what works/ doesn't work with girls. How to be confident no matter what... ways to protect himself while being emotionally aware. I see the loopholes in boys, young men and older men that their mama's missed... Women today are dealing with raising kids they made with men and the fathers are still struggling with their inner child. Which makes it exhausting for a partner because as a woman, you carry more mentally, emotionally and sometimes physically because as a father... they still do not understand how to step up.
Women cannot be the mother to grown men... we cannot fix their "Mama Wounds". We want them to get better, seek therapy and repair their relationships with their mom... but we cannot force it.
Each episode I will explore the needs of boys and how I would handle them... If I had a son of my own.
