A documentary about Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers recording and touring behind Long After Dark will be screened in theaters October 17th and 20th. Heartbreakers Beach Party was directed by Cameron Crowe and aired only once by MTV back in 1983. Earlier this year the original 16mm reels were found and have been remastered. Crowe also added some archival bonus footage and new commentary to the film.
