  • Eco-Craziness
The eco-craziness continues as we're seeing an attack on our food supply, gasoline powered vehicles and on gas appliances. In fact, the craziness has become so bad that even EV owners are starting to turn their backs on electric cars. Returning to Crosstalk to discuss the craziness was Tom DeWeese. Tom is the grassroots coordinator for CFACT. He's also president of American Policy Center. Tom is one of the nation's leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence and protecting our constitutionally-guaranteed rights. When Tom appears on Crosstalk, he covers a lot of ground and this broadcast did not disappoint as Jim had him comment on the following: The World Economic Forum and their desire to "reinvent" our food supply. Eminent domain part of a plan to build the world's largest carbon capture pipeline. Wind tower farms out in the ocean? Some apparently believe bugs are a marginalized group. If so, how can they eat them? Is the gas appliance ban misinformation? Is there enough energy being produced to keep up with the demand for EV chargers? Fires caused by lithium batteries. Get the details on these points and more, and hear comments from listeners, on this edition of Crosstalk.

  • Enneagram Warning!
This edition of Crosstalk highlights the importance of Bible verses such as Colossians 2:8 that says: "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." As such, this broadcast is a warning about a system called, the Enneagram. Don Veinot is co-founder and president of Midwest Christian Outreach, a national apologetics ministry and mission to new religious movements. Before becoming a Christian, Marcia Montenegro was involved for many years in Eastern spiritual beliefs (Hindu and Buddhist,) New Age, and Occult practices. She came to Christ and is now engaged in her full-time ministry, Christian Answers for the New Age. Together they have co-authored, Richard Rohr and the Enneagram Secret. The Enneagram is a geometric design/model of the psyche consisting of a circle with three shapes inside of it that touch the outer circle at 9 different points. Each of the points represents a different personality type with an emphasis on self. While this symbol has no inherent evil in it, according to Don, the grand masters say it's actually not about what type of person you are, instead it deals with which path you need to be on to get back to God. This concept has been infiltrating segments of the evangelical church. On this edition of Crosstalk, Don and Marcia detail the remaining history/evolution of this symbol, it's connection to a Roman Catholic Franciscan monk named Richard Rohr, and how it went on to become embraced by elements of the evangelical publishing world. This topic is very extensive so as the program continued, Don and Marcia looked at much more.

  • Presidential Debate: Where Do We Go From Here?
This program featured various audio clips dealing with last evening's presidential debate between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. The first round of clips dealt with the subjects of abortion, our nation's borders, Medicare, Charlottesville and the troops. Jim then provided a clip from Jill Biden who congratulated her husband for answering all the questions as though he was a small child. Another round of clips looked at some post debate analysis showing great concern, even panic, over the fact that the president struggled. The final clip featured Vice President Kamala Harris and her take on the debate. The clips were followed by comments from listeners around the nation.

  • News Roundup and Comment
Here's a sample of what the news cycle had to offer as Jim presented this edition of the News Round-Up: --CNN has crafted the worst possible week leading up to what they would call the most watched program on CNN in years, and it didn't exactly have a stellar reception at the initial announcement. CNN's choice for its first two moderators (Jake Tapper and Dana Bash) have consistently expressed open disdain for former President Trump. --"X" owner Elon Musk confirmed he would ignore CNN's demands to block or remove live streams of the presidential debate. --Reports are circulating that former President Trump may spring a big surprise at the debate tonight. --Hillary Clinton has been laying the groundwork ahead of tonight's presidential debate by complaining that it's a waste of time trying to argue with former President Trump. --President Biden and former President Barack Obama have been meeting privately on several occasions to discuss how they can save their legacy from former President Trump. --President Joe Biden's aides are training him to "trigger" former President Trump when they meet on the debate stage this evening. --The Supreme Court struck down a lower court's injunction preventing the federal government from pressuring big-tech companies to suppress free speech in a pivotal ruling Wednesday. --Speaking to press on Wednesday morning, Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, along with other GOP reps, held Biden's Attorney General Merrick Garland in inherent contempt of Congress. Other stories covered topics including abortion in Idaho, America's ability to defend Israel, Hamas training new terrorist recruits and much more.

  • Draft Our Daughters?
Elaine Donnelly is president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent, nonpartisan public policy organization that reports on and analyzes military/social issues. Since its founding in 1993, CMR has advocated for high, uncompromised standards in all forms of military training and sound priorities in the making of military/social policies. Elaine has published articles on military personnel issues in numerous newspapers and magazines nationwide. Under consideration in Congress is the National Defense Authorization Act for 2025 (NDAA). A number of positive initiatives are part of the House version. However, the Senate version comes with a very controversial mandate. It would require that for the first time in U.S. history, young women would be required to register with selective service for a possible future draft. Elaine began by commenting on the state of readiness within our military, how women play into the solution and the mindset behind it. She indicated that although retention has been holding steady, we've had a recruiting crisis taking place for several years. With so many trouble-spots in the world, she's not confident that the current administration understands how serious these threats are. Plus, they are misdirecting millions of dollars of resources to "woke" priorities and actually alienating people. One example she gave was that of Critical Race Theory (CRT). She believes that the more we teach CRT, both in civilian schools and the military, it only makes the recruiting crisis much worse, therefore she sees our all-volunteer force as being very much at risk. Another factor is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies.

  • World Affairs Overview
The world is definitely in turmoil.  Russia, North Korea, Iran and China are a handful of nations that aren't just problematic, they're forming alliances that should be a wake-up call to this world.  On the other hand, in some nations, people are rising up and signaling that they no longer want to go in a certain direction any longer. To address these trends, Crosstalk welcomed back Alex Newman.  Alex is an award-winning international freelance journalist, author, researcher, educator and consultant.  He's senior editor for The New American.  He is co-author of Crimes of the Educators, author of  Deep State: The Invisible Government Behind the Scenes and author of, Indoctrinating Our Children to Death.  He is founder of Liberty Sentinel. In this survey of world affairs, Alex focused on the following: Russia—Their alliance building and a warning from a former Soviet defector. China—Is their government system the model for an eventual new world order? China and Taiwan—Is a war between these two nations imminent? What responsibility do we have to nations like Ukraine and Taiwan? More nations are beginning to recognize a Palestinian state.  Is this the answer to peace in the Middle East? Why Argentina is a model for reform for other nations. The European parliamentary elections. The impact of the new prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni. The impact of Mexico's first female president. Will we be able to trust the results of the next election?   These points and more were covered while listeners wrapped up the broadcast.

  • Dobbs Decision: 2 Years Later
Reverend Jim Harden is president and CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services in New York. His own center was targeted by abortion terrorism. Two years ago today, the U.S. Supreme Court released their decision in the case known as Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. This reversed the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. You may recall that when the Dobbs decision was initially leaked, pro-life and pro-family agencies were targeted with firebombs and other forms of violence. One of those targeted was CompassCare Pregnancy Services in Buffalo, New York. Reverend Harden clarified a very important point up front. He noted that the Dobbs decision did not make abortion illegal. It simply gave the states the right to regulate the procedures. It also galvanized pro-abortion extremists to their cause. The result was that at least 500 pro-life entities were attacked. There was also the weaponization of legislation whereby blue states passed legislation to regulate and/or outlaw certain aspects of pro-life pregnancy care work. All of this points to the fact that the battle over life is intensifying. So as you review this broadcast you'll hear about the pro-abortion propaganda effort, the medical malpractice of the abortion industry and the death it's causing, the status of the firebombing incident at CompassCare in New York, the hoarding of Mifepristone by Democrat governors and so much more.

  • News Roundup and Comment

  • Biden Amnesty Infuriates Border Security
Mark Krikorian is a nationally recognized expert on immigration issues serving as the executive director of Center for Immigration Studies. They are an independent, non-partisan research organization examining and critiquing the impact of immigration on the United States. He has testified numerous times before Congress and has published articles in many outlets. Mark began by communicating that the border control executive order is trying to limit the use of asylum claims as a gimmick to enter and then be released into the U.S. What the executive order actually does is to allow the government to not accept any asylum claims from those crossing the border illegally but only if the level of illegal crossings reaches 2,500 per day. In other words, this is the acceptable "floor" for illegal immigration. Mark described it as being the same as the big city district attorneys who say if you only shoplift $1,000 worth of items, that's OK, you won't be prosecuted. The numbers are currently down at the borders. That's to be expected because any time a new border policy comes through, smugglers and prospective illegal aliens step back to look and see what this new policy is all about. Once they find out it's really "smoke and mirrors", the numbers will go right back up. So Mark believes this is a political stunt designed to give the impression of serious border patrol without increasing the anger too much from the anti-border constituency. Other points are discussed as well including the CBT-1 app. This allows people to schedule their illegal immigration while allowing others from 4 specific countries to skip the border altogether and fly into the U.S.
