Jasper Wong is a man who wears many hats in the urban and contemporary art market. Jasper is an artist, illustrator, curator and art director, alongside being a full time father to two. He is well known as a successful artist for his unique style, he describes as a ‘clash of Asian-influenced pop culture on paper’ and for his role as the creator and lead director of POW! WOW! The non-profit organization and mural festival committed to community enrichment through the creation of art and outreach programs. Since its formation in 2010, The festival has gone global and accumulated a huge following and has since exhibited in 20 cities worldwide with the purpose of city beautification and community building. Jasper is a highly respected member of the urban and contemporary art movement and we are extremely honored to welcome him to the 4th podcast at Curators of Culture, dialing in all the way from him home in Hawaii.

As Yan Cordeau prepares for Mural Festival this month, we sat down and spoke with him about his unique vision. An art and creative director by trade, Yan has developed a network of artists and creators from around the world that he collaborates with to create one of a kind projects. In 2012, he became the co-founder and Creative Director of LNDMRK, an artistic marketing agency and production house. Simultaneously co-founding The MURAL Festival (Winner of the Grand Prix du Tourisme, 2014 & 2016), an international public art event, shaping the visual landscape of Montreal. Since the founding of these entities, Yan has also co-created numerous IP's as part of LNDMRK like UNFRAMED and the Ricardo Cavolo clothing brand, plus, he worked on vast and developing list of exciting projects for big brands like the Montreal Canadiens, Red Bull, Nike, Aldo, Lululemon, Henessy and musical artists like Kaytranada and Macklemore. Also, Yan has sat on the Board of Directors of Akousma/Réseaux since 2010.
