  • CWC Client Carla Rhodes

    Send us a text

Carla Rhodes returns to the CWC podcast this week to discuss her experience since joining our program. The first time she came on, she was dealing with a cancer diagnosis and BII, and we discussed how both impacted her mental and physical health. After explanting, she began feeling like herself again and she decided to hire us to help her reach her physical goals. Upon joining she assumed she would be working solely on transforming her body, but that's far from what we do at CWC. She decided to give it 100%, even the journaling, which, like many of our clients, she was initially reluctant to do. She talks about how journaling has changed the course of her life over the last five months. She has changed jobs, repaired her marriage, and most importantly gotten to the root of why she was so angry. If you are wondering what it's like at CWC, tune in to Carla's story and hear how she took her life by the balls and changed the things that were making her so unhappy.

As always, both of us are here to answer any questions or just offer an ear.

  • Why None Of Us Are Motivated Anymore

    Send us a text

This week on the CWC podcast I discuss the elephant in the room responsible for many people’s lack of motivation: COVID. We are not only living through something unprecedented and terrifying, we are still trying to thrive. We wonder where the motivation is, then jump straight to beating ourselves up. I have gained 12 lbs since COVID, started drinking again, am extremely unhappy with my body/myself, and can't seem to get into a groove of consistent motivation. This week we’ll talk about trying to interrupt the narrative in our heads telling us that we suck. COVID has put an insane amount of pressure on us all, specifically women, who usually have enough on their plates as it is. Hopefully this episode will at least make you feel better if, like me, you’re not firing on all cylinders these days.

  • Life After Breast Implant Illness

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on the CWC podcast, I provide an explant update and reflect on the changes I’ve experienced not only in the fifteen months since I had the surgery, but also from the start of my fitness journey and what I now recognize as the onset of BII. While working out solved most of the issues that led me to binging on food and alcohol, and kept me in a cycle of self-loathing, it couldn’t do anything to mask the symptoms of BII. After posting about my decision to explant in 2020, hundreds of women took to my dms comparing their symptoms to mine and I knew that this could be the culprit to all of my issues. Since explanting 15 months ago, 99% of my symptoms are completely gone, and I feel a zest for life again. I want to share what I know with women with implants and offer my help to anyone who thinks they may be suffering from BII.

  • The Ugly Side of Fitness

    Send us Fan Mail

This CWC podcast is devoted to my experience participating in a fitness competition, the mental side effects I experienced after competing, and their lingering effects. The world of competitive fitness can be dark and leave lasting scars, so grab some popcorn and a cocktail as I spill the dirty details of my experience, my darkest moments, and how I still battle those demons today. While my experience is limited to this one competition, I know that I’ll never again put myself in a position to be judged by people I don’t know, and let them tell me I’m not good enough. I advise against competing if you have any issues surrounding food or body image.

Tune in to hear Wayne’s positive morning rituals, his take on living unapologetically, and how he learned to show up every day as his flawed, authentic self.

  • Let Go

    Send us a text

This week on the CWC podcast, I lay it all out there for you guys. I share my experience with letting go of things I have been clinging to, from my personal and fitness life, to my business. I am working towards releasing the stress and pressure that I have been placing on myself. I used to worry that if I let go, I would become insignificant, lose all my clients, and disappoint everyone who looks up to me. My husband recently challenged me to "let it go" and that is what I have been working on. I’ve found that I started to feel passionate again-in all areas of my life. And letting the stress of having a certain body go has made me feel more free than I have in a long time. If you have been banging your head against a wall for a while now, this episode is for you. I also share my latest drink obsession and a few sexy pics of Nikki Sixx that I think are worth sticking around for!

You’ll love hearing Dr. Brenner's openness to understanding more about BII, and his decision to begin collecting data with his patients to better understand the illness.

  • Navigating Seasons

    Send us a text

This week’s episode of the CWC podcast was inspired by a conversation I had with a doctor who approached me to discuss nutrition. I am not a registered dietician or a nutritionist, but I explained how many of my clients who have visited dieticians have experienced restrictive, dramatic diet plans, which almost always lead to failure. I explained that at CWC, we take a very different approach; we educate our clients on how to make realistic, lasting changes, and connect them to our CWC family. We allow all foods, while removing the labels we place on them as well. Over the past 5 weeks (mainly due to being on a mood stabilizer!) I have also begun to let go of the idea that I need to be the same person who started this business: a gym rat who never strayed from her macros. This season of my life is about releasing old ways of thinking and existing, and I am exercising to feel good, not for a physical results. I am not tracking my food, but eating intentionally and focusing less on protein intake and more on getting quality foods back into my diet. It is scary to break free from the old ways of thinking, but it is also extremely empowering.
