Cyclops is Waiting for Me - An X-Men: The Animated Series Weekly Recap

With Deadpool & Wolverine just around the corner, we've got two weeks of movie watch along commentary from JC & Rod.

To watch along with us, que up the movie to 0:00:00 and we'll count down together before hitting play! And make sure to have appropriate snacks like a chimichanga (or your very special popcorn bucket).

The X-Men '97 Prequel miniseries wraps up. While there were some fun moments, it ultimately didn't compare to what we got in the actual show. Take a quick listen to hear about the events but we wouldn't say this is a "must read" for fans of the show.

But at least we do talk about how one of Rod's songs was used by the animation studio behind X-Men 97!

X-Cutioner's origin is revealed in a flashback while three separate teams of X-Men are throwing down with the bad guys. And we see why the prequel comic didn't finish up before the series aired (or concluded).

They really did it. We got full on Fatal Attractions in the penultimate episode of Season 1 and it is a doozy. MT of Guardians of the Palaxy & Heavy Spoilers joins us as the X-Men need to split up and fight on two fronts. Gold Team needs to stop Bastion who hasn't been taken down by Magneto's EMP blast that has shut down the globe and Blue Team heads into space to convince Magneto to prevent a full on Armageddon. And it ends on the biggest cliffhanger of the season (somehow, even bigger than all the rest).
