On Christmas Eve, Mo Bati posted on his Strava that the NCAA stripped him of his remaining eligibility after community members raised money ($6k) to help him pay tuition. Because it wasn't a scholarship or used for an NIL deal, it was viewed as a competitive advantage.
We talked with Mo about how he's handling the situation, learn more about what happened, and gave him a place to speak on the matter.
On a brighter note, we talked about his runner-up performance at D3XC nationals, his 2:12 marathon at CIM, and what is next for him in his marathon career.
